Term 1 -- Week 11
Dear Parents and Caregivers, I would like to acknowledge the commitment of the staff this term in providing challenging and exciting learning programs to ensure every student is known, valued and cared for. I want to thank the students for their commitment to their learning and for challenging themselves throughout the term in various extra-curricular activities. I also would like to thank you, as parents, for supporting your students and our school through this period of leadership change at the school. With this, I would like to formally announce that the process to fill the Principal position at Lake Cargelligo Central School has concluded. Mrs Karen Burke, Director, Educational Leadership, visited our school on Wednesday to announce to the staff that I was the successful candidate for the position. From Day 1, Term 2, I will be the Substantive Principal of Lake Cargelligo Central School. I am immensely humbled and excited about continuing to ensure every student has success at our school and look forward to working with you, shoulder to shoulder, in promoting our school as a centre of excellence in learning. I have exciting plans to work towards in meeting our three strategic goals that I will continue to consult, plan and implement at our beautiful school. I plan to discuss my plans for the next six to twelve months at the next P&C Meeting to ensure every student is known, valued and cared for and that every student, every teacher, every leader and our school improves every year. I would encourage you to come along, have a listen and then share your feedback.
I look forward to joining students and the community at the Lake Cargelligo ANZAC March on Thursday 25th April. Have a wonderful Easter break, and if I don’t see you at the ANZAC ceremony, I look forward to next term working with our students, our staff and our strong community. Yours in Education, Mr Allan Johnston Relieving Principal
