This has been an enormous week of celebration with our students recognised for their Academic and Sporting achievements and Presentation Night and the Sports Assembly. Our top 40 Bestie winners were taken to lunch and both Primary and Secondary enjoyed PBL rewards afternoons. In between times, the rains came and presented the soils with some nourishment, the students undertook rehearsals, there was the final Scripture Assembly, and reports were finalised for distribution. Behind the scenes, the tireless work Mrs Sharene McFadyen and Mrs Marlene Grintell ensured all the documents were in order. Mrs Tina McFadyen ensured the bills were paid and the orders processedb, the budgeting secured. Mrs Deb Blacker who made sure the local purchases were made and Mrs Kay Chatterton who puts the presentations and photos together. Without the work of these amazing ladies, much of what you see out front simply would not look as good. And then we have the efforts of every other staff member here at Lake Cargelligo Central School who work tirelessly to ensure the best experiences are had by the students. Thank you to the teaching and support team for all of the efforts you make to ensure the success of the students. The last day for students in 2018 will be next Wednesday 19 th December. A gentle reminder to Year 12 students that this does not necessarily mean that you switch off; there are novels to read, textbooks and syllabus documents you can engage with, and notes you can go over to keep your skills up in preparation for your final stretch in the HSC. This year we farewell Ms Melissa Parrotta our Acting Deputy Principal, Mrs Sarah Mann, Ms Jayne Miller, Miss Kate Weekes, Mr James Dominick, Mr Cameron Page, and Mr Davneel Kumar. On behalf of the students and community I would like to thank them all for their service to the students of Lake Cargelligo Central School and wish them well for the next chapter in their careers and lives. On behalf of the staff at Lake Cargelligo Central School, I would like to wish the students and community a very Merry Christmas and wonderful and joyous New Year. And, as always, particularly at this time of the year, I hope that you get to spend some quality time with your families and friends. Be safe.
