It was great to watch the movie created by Year 12 that gave me a great perspective of where they’ll be after 10 years. I considered that there must have been a theme going on as Year 2 presented who they are and what they wanted to be in a creative presentation using drama, multimedia and dance. I was extremely proud of the excellent behaviour of all students during the assembly and would say that all students were showing the values we strive for at Lake Cargelligo Central School. In a slightly unconventional way I read a picture book in my address that had some important messages. The book was Anh Doh’s ‘What Do You Do With All The Poo from the Animals in the Zoo?’ It described various people’s ideas of what happens to the poo, with them making up stories and not really getting to the truth. The message I was alluding to was that sometimes we need to believe and find out the truth, and not listen to rumours from others. The other message I was explaining is that through seeking the truth we can support each other. I’m committed to being supportive to all students, staff and community members and that is what I promote through my leadership of the school. In other news, I have signed the papers to construct the COLA near the canteen and now have to wait for the tender process. I’d also like to congratulate Tanya Golding who will be joining us for more days per week and will be supporting our teachers in the Food Technology room. We also welcome back Mrs O’Connor today from her maternity leave. I’m looking forward to cheering on our students who are representing our school at the Lower Lachlan PSSA Swimming Carnival today. Have a fantastic weekend and I look forward to another fabulous week of learning.
