Calls for Artists17th Annual CommunityArt ShowThe 17th Annual Lafayette Community Artshow is looking for submissions from localartists, aged 18 and above, to submit to thisjuried exhibit. The show will hang from March30 – May 31. The reception and awardceremony will be Saturday, March 30, from3:30 – 4:30pm at the Library. The public iswelcome to attend. The show will feature a wide range of media. Artworks will be accepted in five categories:Dry Media (pencil, ink, pastel, scratchboard,charcoal), Wet Media (oil, acrylic, gouache),Dimensional (sculpture, glass, fiber,ceramic/pottery, jewelry), Photography andDigital Art, and Mixed Media. The winningartwork will win Best of Show and $100. Additional prizes will be awarded in eachmedia category.Artists must pre-register by Friday, March 29,5:00pm. City Gallery Wall Call forArtistsThe Lafayette Cultural Resources Division isalso looking for artists to show their work oncity gallery walls for a 2-month long displaythrough 2014. Artists may submit their work for review andrequest one of the two-month display times atone of Lafayette’s three gallery wall spaces. 2-dimension media is encouraged and 3-dimensional media will be reviewed on a caseby case, and space available basis. Experience Our GalleriesJoe Bammann and Jenn Ressman are showing their work in the newlyrenovated Library gallery during the months of February and March.

Jenn is a multi-talented artist who works inphotography, paint, collage and jewelry. She will be showing her photographs fromthe series "The Colorado Horse." Herphotograpphs capture the personality andtenacity of the Colorado horse in athoughtful and playful way.

Joe Bammann is also a photographer. Hisinteresting photos are also hanging at theLafayette Public Library for the months ofFebruary and March . His lively worksreflect his keen eye for detail and thenature around him.Enjoy these talented artists in theirbeautiful February/March shows at theLafayette Public Library.

The Senior Center gallery wall is displayingJoyce Richter. Joyce is a photographer andartist whose works focus on animals andlandscapes. She has lovely skills forcapturing a moment of time.

At City Hall, Wendi Luhmann is the Februaryand March artist. Wendi is a talentedphotographer who specializes in nature and animal photographs. She has akeen eye for color and contrast.
