Exciting Band Line-Up for Art Night Out B-52’s tribute band, HeyLady!, will kick off the sixth-annual Art Night Out seasonat Festival Plaza in OldTown Lafayette on May 17!The five-part series takesplacefrom 5 to 9 p.m. on thethird Friday of the month,May through September,and offers fun for the wholefamily. Enjoy dinner out at alocal restaurant or at one of

the visiting specialty food trucks, then grab a cold one from the Festival Plazabeer garden. Visit artists booths, check out the Art on the Street Sculpturewalk, and let the kids put in some time at Arty’s Creation Station. Magician,balloon twisters, jugglers and other buskers will make you laugh. Calls for Artists17th Annual CommunityArt ShowThe 17th Annual Lafayette Community Artshow is looking for submissions from localartists, aged 18 and above, to submit to thisjuried exhibit. The show will hang from March30 – May 31. The reception and awardceremony will be Saturday, March 30, from3:30 – 4:30pm at the Library. The public iswelcome to attend. The show will feature a wide range of media. Artworks will be accepted in five categories:Dry Media (pencil, ink, pastel, scratchboard,charcoal), Wet Media (oil, acrylic, gouache),Dimensional (sculpture, glass, fiber,ceramic/pottery, jewelry), Photography andDigital Art, and Mixed Media. Lafayette Public Library beginning at 7 p.m. Andy will be our guide for anostalgic journey through Lafayette via the “Lincoln Highway” (Public Road).Andy researched this subject for 3 years, including extensive interviews withseveral Lafayette citizens. The film“blends fantasy and mythology to create a richlydetailed and striking visual landscape, folding

Experience Our GalleriesJoe Bammann and Jenn Ressman are showing their work in the newlyrenovated Library gallery during the months of February and March.

Jenn is a multi-talented artist who works inphotography, paint, collage and jewelry. She will be showing her photographs fromthe series "The Colorado Horse." Herphotograpphs capture the personality andtenacity of the Colorado horse in athoughtful and playful way.

Joe Bammann is also a photographer. Hisinteresting photos are also hanging at theLafayette Public Library for the months ofFebruary and March .
