EVERY GOOD GIFT IS FROM ABOVEHave you ever found yourself in such a bind that you prayed, “Lord,
I will do anything if You will just help me get out of this mess”? Sadly today we have too many people working and operating on a
“merit” basis, and not on a “grace” basis. In reality, it insults God when we try to pay for His blessings with our works. Prayer reminds us that all the good things we enjoy, and the good things we seek, must all ultimately come from God. There is no other source for good things.
The Bible says, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” When we pray, and God answers our prayers, He receives the glory, and we grow in faith, hope, and love. That’s the point, not just getting what we want.

When local governments want to increase tax revenues, they are required to publish notices in the newspaper so that you will know. But that right to know could disappear.
Local governmental entities across the state want to hide their public notices on little seen, rarely visited government websites.
What you don’t know will affect you personally!
If it is not in the newspaper, you won’t know about it.
