Hiero Day 2014

It’is that time of the

year again for Hiero Day in

Oakland, Ca. For those who do not

know, take a little trip with us as

we venture to one of THE hottest

Hip Hop events on the West Coast

for the true the Hip Hop heads.

Hieroglyphics day or Hiero Day is

a Free, one day Indie music fes-

tival celebrated annually for the

last 3 years. Coined after the na-

tive Oakland Hip-Hop group The

Hieroglyphics ( Hip Hop classic 93

Til Infinite) the mayor declared

Sept. 3 a local holiday. On this day

the Hieroglyphics give back to the

community with this event for all

ages. From around 11am - 6pm in

the heart of Downtown, 3 stages

of nothing but real Hip-Hop from

some of best from the Bay to L.A.. to

N.Y. and everywhere in between.

This year’s host were none other

then the legendary MTV Raps Host

Ed Lover, 105.7 FM host and long

time radio pioneer in the Bay

Area Radio Chuy Gomez,

along with Mistah F.A.B.

& The SleepRockers, D

Sharp, Sake 1 & Sean G, Ruby

Red i, DNAs & Mani Draper. The

crowd was thick early and stayed

that way til the end. The positive

vibe covered the air as did the

aromatics of the food vendors and

the essence of SB 420 & Prop 215.

Models, Directors, Philanthropist,
