The new Fabia Hatch turns heads whichever way it turns. Sharp lines and strong curves define its side and rear, creating an attractive play of light and shadow.

The car’s front embodies the core elements of the new ŠKODA design language, including the grille’s clear geometric shape,

the ŠKODA logo on the sloping front end of the bonnet and the crystalline design of the headlights. The silver logo, mounted

at a vantage point on the nose, is the starting point for a distinctive overall design with a horizontal emphasis.

The Fabia Wagon is proof that form and function can live under the same roof. Its sharp, clean lines cleverly hide the unrivalled space inside. View it from any angle and its perfectly balanced proportions won’t fail to impress. It’s a great example of dynamic design working in harmony with practicality.

The integrated side indicators are now enclosed within the external side mirrors - a minor tweak that

enhances the overall expression of the Fabia's design.

Offered on both hatch and wagon, the optional panoramic glass roof stretches from the front windscreen to the

roof spoiler allowing for an abundance of natural sunlight. For added comfort, two manually operated blinds cover

the whole roof.

Distinctive and wide headlights boast contours and sharp edges; while the dark underlays hug the grille, strengthening the integration between the two

and creating an intriguing contrast to the lighter areas at the front. For the first time in Fabia, you can opt for LED daytime running lights* with curve

projected headlights.

COMFORT & CONVENIENCE

^Included in optional Sports Pack. *Included in optional Premium Sports Pack.~Safety technologies are not a substitute for the driver’s responsibility for the vehicle.

Rain Sensor and Light Assist Located behind the rear view mirror, the rain sensor and light assist* are great additions for added peace of mind.

Rear Parking Sensors and Rear View CameraParking is made easier with rear parking sensors ,̂ which feature audible signals and visual cues displayed clearly on the infotainment unit. Standard across all models, the rear view camera~ gives a clear view of objects usually out of sight allowing the driver to manoeuvre with added confidence and safety. When in reverse the navigation display system reveals a real-time image display with superimposed graphic lines thanks to the camera built into the tailgate.

Adaptive Cruise Control An outstanding, technological advancement is Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)*~ - an extension of the conventional cruise control system with advanced capabilities based on a radar sensor located on the front grille. When ACC is activated, the vehicle automatically brakes and accelerates to a speed and distance set by the driver.

Advanced Keyless Entry including Smart Start (KESSY)

KESSY* can be added to allow the driver to lock and unlock the car and start and stop the engine without having to insert or even handle the key. LUGGAGE COMPARTMENTStore it. Hang it. Lock it. The Fabia's clever design allows storage solutions and capacity to

be maximised.

Capacity Hidden within the Fabia's clever

design is exceptional luggage space. The hatch boasts 305 litres of space, one of the largest

in its class. This phenomenal space becomes cavernous with the rear seats folded down, expanding to 1125 litres. The wagon (shown)

offers 505 litres of space with seats up and 1370 litres with seats down; an impressive amount that

is comparable to much larger family vehicles.Overseas model shown

OUTSTANDING SAFETYOutstanding attention to design and detail means you benefit from not only sophistication, but

exceptional levels of safety for you and your loved ones. In addition to the essential prerequisites

of safety such as the exceptionally strong body and excellent driving characteristics of the

Front Assist with City Emergency BrakeStandard across the Fabia range, Front Assist* uses a radar-based system that monitors the area in front of the car at speeds above 30km/h. Using predefined algorithms, it decides whether these objects pose a potential risk of collision and alerts the driver if the distance to object is insufficient – initially with a tone and an alert on the multi-functional display; followed by a warning jolt of the brakes. If the driver doesn’t respond, the car will brake itself – all the way to a standstill if needed, helping to avoid a collision or reduce the severity of the accident. It can be turned off by the driver via the touchscreen. For vehicle speeds below 30km/h, City Emergency Brake is designed to help a driver avoid a low-speed crash or to reduce its severity.

ESC with Multi-collision BrakeThe ESC (Electronic Stability Control) is further enhanced with multi-collision braking; designed to provide effective assistance for the driver in the moments after an accident.

Multi-collision Brake triggers automatic controlled braking once an initial collision has been detected so as to reduce the intensity of further accidents after a collision and can help prevent follow-on collisions with oncoming traffic.

Fatigue DetectionFatigue Detection^* monitors the movement of the driver through the steering wheel. If the driver begins to display signs of fatigue, the car will audibly alert the driver with a tone and show a break recommendation alert on the multi-functional display.

PERFORMANCEEngineThe Fabia is offered with two new Volkswagen Group turbocharged petrol engines - 66TSI and 81TSI - variants that are lighter and more fuel efficient than previous generations. Consumption has reduced up to 21% whilst torque has improved across the range.

The Fabia 66TSI is complemented with a 5-speed manual; whilst the 81TSI is equipped with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox which uses two clutches and two sets of gears to preselect your next gear while you’re still driving in your current gear. Used in nearly all high-end sports cars, DSG dual-clutch technology is trusted by the world’s leading car manufacturers.

Green Tech*A standard feature across both petrol variants is Green Tech - a technology allowing for further improvement in fuel economy through the "Start Stop" and Brake Energy Recuperation features. "Start Stop" allows the engine to automatically switch when at idle and immediately switch back on when required. “Stop Start” can be deactivated if desired. In addition, Brake Energy Recuperation enables the use of kinetic energy to charge the car battery when the brakes are applied. Reactivation of Stop-Start function will not occur in certain conditions.

^ŠKODA’s Care Pack and 2 Year Extended Factory Warranty are only available for purchase at or before the time of first registration of a new ŠKODA vehicle. It may not be purchased after taking delivery of a vehicle. Your rights under this warranty sit alongside the consumer guarantees under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, which cannot be excluded. Private buyers only. ŠKODA Service and Care Pack Service covers standard items as contained in each scheduled service interval only and excludes wear and tear items and additional work or components required. Customer must comply with scheduled servicing intervals. For full terms, conditions and exclusions please see www.skoda.com.au

WELCOME TO CARE-FREE OWNERSHIPŠKODA Care is about making sure that same level of attention to detail remains long after you’ve made your purchase, making owning a ŠKODA as fantastic as buying one.

After getting behind the wheel of a ŠKODA, it’s not hard to see why they’re so beloved by their owners. Every new ŠKODA vehicle is covered by a three-year unlimited kilometre manufacturer’s warranty, which includes 24-hour roadside assistance - 1800 607 954 – which covers transport and accommodation, if necessary, anywhere in Australia. Every new ŠKODA vehicle is also covered by a 3 year paintwork and 12-year anticorrosion perforation warranty.

To give you added peace of mind, you can now purchase an Extended Factory Warranty^ with your new vehicle. This warranty gives you an additional 2 years/unlimited kilometres of coverage, including roadside assistance.

Buying a car is one thing, but owning a car is something else entirely. We're sure you'll want to know the costs of any service before you book it in. The cogs in our heads have been turning and we’ve come up with a solution we think is pretty clever. Capped Price Servicing, Every Calendar Year applies to the first 6 standard scheduled services of your vehicle which are scheduled to occur every 12 months / 15,000 kms (whichever occurs first). Full terms and conditions at www.skoda.com.au

You don’t have to be a genius (AKA a ŠKODA technician) to know that non-genuine parts aren’t as good as using genuine ones. Our philosophy towards fixing your car is simple; the parts we use are identical to the parts used in the production of your car originally. Genuinely. And with a nationwide, two year, unlimited KM warranty on all genuine parts, peace of mind comes easily too.

Why worry about handling the payment of your services on an ad-hoc basis when you already know you need to get them annually? Ingeniously, you can save time by pre-paying your servicing with a 3 Year/45 000km or a 5 year/75 000km ŠKODA Service Pack^ at any of our dealerships.

That way you can simply book a service time that suits you, and the costs are already covered. Your car, serviced at your convenience. But if you want, you can bundle an added 2 years of our 100% factory backed extended warranty with your pre-paid servicing. A 3 Year/45 000km or 5 Year/75 000 km ŠKODA Care Pack^ offers you the best of both worlds. Even better, the ŠKODA Care Pack^ includes an extra 2 years of roadside assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can breathe easy, knowing you’re in our excellent care.

1 The ŠKODA Choice Program consists of an option to require ŠKODA Financial Services to purchase your vehicle at the end of your ŠKODA Financial Services Chattel Mortgage, Consumer Loan or Hire Purchase for a value (known as the Guaranteed Future Value) determined by ŠKODA Financial Services and set out in your contract. The Guaranteed Future Value is not a representation by ŠKODA Financial Services as to the likely market value of your vehicle as at the end of your contract. The option is available on new and demonstrator ŠKODA vehicles for selected models only. Please verify with your dealership vehicles that are eligible for the program. 2 If vehicles are not returned in an acceptable condition, as defined in the terms and conditions or exceed kilometre restrictions the Guaranteed Future Value will be reduced. GlossaryAnti-lock Braking System (ABS)When braking, sensors in each wheel measure the road speed. If one or more wheels start to lock, the ABS reduces brake pressure to those wheels. This prevents the wheels from locking during heavy or emergency braking and allows you to continue to steer the vehicle.

Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR)ASR is a switchable traction control system that prevents the front wheels from spinning under acceleration. When a difference in driving wheel speed is detected (e.g. due to differences in road surfaces), the system automatically reduces engine torque accordingly.

Electronic Brake-pressure Distribution (EBD)This sophisticated system provides an electronic means of regulating the ratio of front to rear brake pressure. The system automatically varies the settings according to driving and load conditions to ensure each wheel is braked to the optimum extent.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)The ESC is made up of the ABS and ASR traction control systems. Simply put, it helps ensure that the vehicle goes where you steer it – even in extreme driving conditions. By constantly comparing the actual movement of the vehicle with pre-determined values, ESC will apply the brakes to individual wheels and automatically adjust the engine’s power output to correct a problem the very moment it arises.

Adaptative Cruise Control (ACC)Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is an extension of the conventional cruise control system with advanced capabilities based on a radar sensor. When ACC is activated, the vehicle automatically brakes and accelerates to a speed and distance set by the driver.

If the Octavia approaches a slower vehicle, the ACC brakes the car to the same speed and maintains the pre-selected distance. Even when a vehicle pulls into the same lane in front of you or slows, your vehicle is automatically decelerated to the pre-selected distance. If the vehicle ahead moves out of your lane, the Octavia then accelerates up to the preset desired speed.

Deceleration of the vehicle may take place via intervention in the engine management system. If deceleration via engine torque is not sufficient, brake intervention takes place, braking the vehicle to a standstill if the traffic situation necessitates in vehicles equipped with a DSG transmission. ACC can be reactivated automatically by depressing the accelerator pedal. In vehicles fitted with a manual transmission, the system is automatically deactivated at speeds below 30km/h and the driver is prompted to take charge by visual and acoustic signals.

Note: Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) cannot replace the driver’s attentiveness. The driver is still legally responsible for the vehicle and must monitor the speed and distance in relation to other vehicles. The ACC system should not be used on winding roads or in adverse weather conditions such as heavy rain.

Brake AssistBrake Assist aids the driver during emergency braking by automatically increasing the brake pressure to a level exceeding the locking limit. Then, the ABS is quickly brought into the operating range, thereby enabling maximum vehicle deceleration.

Multi-collision BrakeThe multi-collision brake has been designed to provide effective assistance for the driver in the moments after an accident. Multi-collision brake triggers automatic controlled braking once an initial collision has been detected so as to reduce the intensity of further accidents after a collision and can help prevent follow-on collisions with oncoming traffic.

The triggering of the multi-collision brake is based on a collision being detected by the airbag sensors. The ESP control unit limits the deceleration of the vehicle by the multi-collision brake to a defined value and vehicle speed. The vehicle can still be controlled by the driver, even when automatic braking is taking place. The driver can interrupt the multi-collision braking at any time by accelerating or braking even more strongly.

Electronic Differential Lock (EDL)EDL improves driving and steering characteristics when accelerating on road surfaces where each wheel has a different degree of traction. The system operates automatically and is combined with the ABS system. Using the ABS wheel sensors, EDL monitors the speed of the individual driving wheels. When a difference in driving wheel speed is detected (i.e. when one wheel starts to spin due to differences in road surfaces, e.g. due to water or dirt) the system brakes the spinning wheel, transferring engine power to the wheel with the best traction.

Extended Electronic Differential Lock (XDL)XDL is an extension of the Electronic Differential Lock (EDL) function. When cornering, XDL responds to the load relief at the front wheel on the inside of a corner. The ESP hydraulics are used for the XDL to apply pressure to the wheel on the inside of the corner in order to prevent wheel spin. This improves traction and reduces the tendency to understeer. As a direct result of the one-sided and precise braking pressure, cornering is sportier and more accurate.
