Transcript of Kirkintilloch High School Student Planner. Parental Engagement We believe that pupils’ learning is...
Parental Engagement We believe that pupils’ learning is improved when we work inPartnership with their parents/carers. We therefore believe
inclose cooperation with all parents/carers , and in regularconsultation between the home and school. In order foryou to be involved in your child’s learning further we would like to draw your attention to the diary system which weoperate within Kirkintilloch High School.
We hope that this will give you a better understanding of your child’s learning and how to support them. We would alsoappreciate it if you could sign the diary on a weekly basis.
How to use your plannerThe planner has been designed to help you to:• Plan your work, homework and studying.• Manage your time.• Keep a record of your achievements, homework completed and
class topics.• Evaluate/‘traffic light’ your understanding of lessons.• Encourage dialogue about your schooling between yourself and
your parent/carer.
• You are expected to have your planner open at the correct date at the start of each lesson.
• Periodically, your registration teacher and guidance teacher will check you are making the best use of your planner.
