Kidz Meadow Childcare @ Yishun Term 2, 2018 Newsletter

Message from Principal

We had a busy term with lots of fun happenings at Kidz Meadow Yishun in

Term 2. We embarked on massive skill-acquisition activities in Term 2 to

prepare our children for more competitive challenges in the future.

The highlight of Term 2 was the Earth Day celebration. Apart from helping to

keep the park clean, children learned to use and make their own teaching

materials. They collected seashells, leaves and flowers for their craft work

and counters for their learning centre. They are able to understand the

concepts of sorting, comparing, counting and grouping better using

authentic materials.

I am grateful for the immense support and cooperation from all parents of

Kidz Meadow Yishun. Thank you for all your feedback through our parent-

teacher conference. Your feedback is much appreciated.

In conjunction with Earth Day, the children went on a field trip to Sembawang Park to learn about how we could save the earth.

Let’s work together to keep our Sembawang Park clean.

华文乐趣多第二季度大量采用了美术活动授课方式。通过美术活动，不仅让幼儿们学习到了相关的知识点，同时也体验到学习华文的乐趣，可谓一举两得。

We enjoy splashing the water while talking about the names of the fruits and their colours!

A nose to smell and eyes to see. Ears to hear and hands to touch. A tongue to taste good food and such. My senses are part of me. All working in harmony.

Children learned the names of different fruits and vegetables and described their favourites.

Musical Chairs

Children were given the opportunity to express their creativity by participating in the Musical Chairs lesson. Some of them created their own actions as they moved around the chairs. They

clearly had a whale of time moving and dancing to the song “Better When I’m Dancin!” Children achieved a sense of satisfaction the minute they managed to secure a seat.

We became foxes as part of our Reading book, Hungry Fox.

For our cookery lesson, we made Chicken Ham & Cheese Sandwiches.

We used crayons for our Tree Bark Shading!
