Transcript of Keynote: Principles of Online Mobile Platforms
Two statements:
1. The rise of the internet has been the most revolutionary development of the past 25 years, because it shifted power
to the people.
2. The internet is discipling the church, not the other way around.
Jesus started a mobile ministry
He had a mobile-first strategy
and started a disruptive decentral movement called
the Kingdom of God
Today mobile technologies can help catalyze
Kingdom movements.(www.joelnews.org)
NEW PARADIGM of mobile missions:- mobile device as mission control- empower people where they are
- Not just reading the Bible, but living it
- Not just hearing the Gospel, but experiencing it
TRUTH AND DAREThe real-life game Jesus taught us
TRUTH:In Mt 19 the rich young ruler asks what he must do to have eternal life. Jesus applies truth: you shall not murder, commit adultery, steal, etc. and love
your neighbor as yourself.
DARE:Young ruler says: I already do that. Now Jesus
applies dare: go, sell all your stuff and give it to the poor, and come follow me.
TRUTH:Read the parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10. What is Jesus saying to you through this story? Pray for an opportunity to put this lesson into practice.
DARE:Find someone in need that you would not choose as
a friend and be a true blessing to this person. Report back what happened and what you learned
from it.
Follow Jesus by playing missions
