Summary

Gathering Blue, by Lois Lowry, supports us to get back on our feet again even though we’ve lost someone we love. In the beginning , Kira is really terrified because her mom dies of deathly sickness. Also, Kira thinks her dad is dead. So, Kira is in big danger being alone in the woods. Later on, Kira tries to build a cottage herself. Then, Kira meets new friends that live in the woods.. Unexpectedly, Kira had a shocked look on her face because she spots her dad who she thought was dead coming out of the woods. In the end, Kira and her father get out of the woods and go find a house in the town or city.
