PEEK
GEHR PEEK®
GEHR PEEK-30GF®
verstärkt mit 30% Glasfaser.
GEHR PEEK®
Polyetheretherketone can be used atvery high temperatures (about +260 °C)and it shows an extraordinary mechanicalstrength, toughness, hardness, flexuralstrength, torsional strength. PEEK exhibitsexcellent chemical resistance, very gooddielectric properties up to +260 °C anda very good resistance to all kinds ofradiation (even ultraviolet rays only leadto a slight yellow discolouration of itsself-extinguishing properties accordingto UL 94.
Properties:• very high mechanical strength• very high rigidity (also at low tempera-
ture)• very high thermal stability• very high creep resistance• very high dimensional stability• very high radiation resistance• very high hydrolysis resistance• relatively low notch impact-strength• low resistance to acetone
Application:Bearing shells, piston rings, valve seats, gears, seals, aviation, cog-wheels, pumpvanes, fittings, plug connectors for the-chromatography, wafer carriers, semi-conductor industry.
GEHR PEEK-mod®
Reinforced with 10% of each PTFE,graphite and carbonfibre.Very good friction and wear and tearproperties.
GEHR PEEK-30GF®
Reinforced with 30% glass fibre.

GEHR PEEK®
GEHR PEEK-30GF®
Renforcé à 30% fibre de verre.

Symbolism for the description of the chemical resistance + = resistant (only small changes of the weight, dimensions and properties. According our experiences there is no permanent damage expect).
o = partly resistant (medium changes of the properties. At longer contact time there are permanent damages recommended e.g. degradation of the macro molecular structure).
- = non resistant (strong and permanent degradation in short contact time e.g. stress cracking).
= not tested (no tests were done, no recommendations are possible).
The figures indicated here are approximate values. They may be affected by the temperature, operating time, concentration and stress level of the component involved, by mechanical loads, etc., and the user is not released therefore from the obligation of performing checks and trials of his own. The values indicated here have been compiled on the bases of current experiences and findings. Any legally binding guarantee of certain properties, or any suitability for a specific application cannot be inferred from the present data.
