The word Taoshobuddha comes from three

words, ‘tao,’ ‘sho,’ and ‘Buddha’. The word Tao

was coined by the Chinese master, Lau Tzu. It

means that which is and cannot be put into

words. It is unknown and unknowable. It can only be experienced and not expressed in words. Its

magnanimity cannot be condensed into

finiteness. The word Sho implies, that which is

vast like the sky and deep like an ocean carries within its womb a treasure. It also means one on

whom the existence showers its blessings. And

lastly the word Buddha implies the Enlightened

One; one who has arrived home.

Thus, Taoshobuddha implies one who is

existential, on whom the existence showers its

blessings and one who has arrived home. The

Kalonji is an important and essential ayurvedic herb. It is full of many nutrients and is essential

for human health. The herb produces blue

flowers and black seeds. These seeds are helpful

in extracting Kalonji oil.

Nutritionally, Kalonji oil is having many minerals

and important nutrients. The black seeds are rich

source of calcium, iron, sodium and potassium. Thus oil has high nutritional value containing

dietary fiber in the form of mono-saccharides

and non-starch poly-saccharides. As a result it is

called universal remedy.

What is Kalonji?

alonji is an ayurvedic herb that produces blue

flowers and black seeds. These seeds are

helpful in extracting Kalonji oil. Kalonji black

seeds are being eaten for centuries in the Gulf countries, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. It is

abundantly found in these areas directly and also

by sticking on the Naan before these are cooked

in Tandoor.

Kalonji oil is used in food in many parts of the

world, especially the Middle-East. The plant is

given more importance in the Middle-East and

Muslim world as Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W.) said that Kalonji, the black granules is

the remedy for all diseases except death,

according to Hazrat Abu Hurerah (R. A).

Kalonji are small black seeds, also known as

nigella seeds. Nigella Seeds or black seeds or

kalonji is known in Arabic as the habbutual

barakah (the seed of blessing). Indeed this

comes as the blessings from the existence to humanity.

A special oil is extracted from the seed which is

used in the preparation of various medical formulas. It has been used to treat bronchitis and

coughs. Also it has been used to help increase

body tone, as a digestive tonic, to quell belching,

stimulates excretion of urine, dissolves wind, quells colic pain and stomach-gas colic, expels

worms, benefits some skin allergies, stimulates

menstrual period, and increases the flow of

breast milk. If you add a few drops to coffee or

tea it can help calm the nervous system, help pertussis, dry cough, asthma, and bronchial

respiratory complaints.

However if you take the Black Seed oil unmixed or undiluted it can produce gripe, and irritate the

digestive system. The Black Seed acts as an

expectorant by stimulating the body's energy and

helping it to recover from fatigue and dispiritedness. It is also called the Medicine of the

Prophet.

Kalonji in Different Languages

alonji is known by different names in different

languages. In English, Kalonji is known as

Samal Fennel, onion seeds, nigella.

In Hindi it is also known as Mangralia.

Kalonji is known Mogrel in Bengali, and in Gujarati it is called Kalonji. In Malayalam,

Kalonji’s name is Ell or Karum Jiragam and in

Marathi, the black cumin is called Kale Til.

Anyone can use the oil

lack seed is a safe and effective herb that can

be used by almost anyone. No irritations or side effects are caused when the right dose is

correctly applied. Its benefits are obtained

through consistent use, the effects are medium

to long term. Black seed can be used in the

treatment of diabetes mellitus or diabetes caused

by an allergy, but it is recommended that the

treatment be supervised because Black seed lowers blood sugar levels. Black seed should not

be taken by pregnant women.

Nutritional Facts of Kalonji Oil

Nutritionally, Kalonji oil has many minerals and

important nutrients. The black seeds are rich source of calcium, iron, sodium and potassium.

Thus black seed oil has high nutritional value

containing dietary fiber in the form of mono-

saccharides and non-starch poly-saccharides. Mono saccharides are found in Kalonji as glucose,

rhamnose, xylose, and arabinose. Kalonji is

abundant in fatty acid, especially the essential

fatty acid and unsaturated one. Total 15 amino

acids, which are the building blocks of protein, are found in the black seeds. Arginine and

carotene are good for infant growth and vitamin

Black seed contains over 100 valuable nutrients.

It is comprised of approximately 21% protein,

38% carbohydrates, and 35% plant fats and oils.

The active ingredients of black seed are nigellone, thymoquinone, and fixed oils. Black

seed also contains significant proportions of

protein, carbohydrates and essential fatty acids.

Other ingredients include linoleic acid, oleic acid,

calcium, potassium, iron, zinc, magnesium, selenium, vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin B2,

niacin, and vitamin C.

Scientific Research

nalysis of the black seed concluded that it contains phosphates, iron and carbohydrate

compounds together with antibiotics that are

capable of killing germs. Chemical analysis of the

grain also proved that it contains carotene which is converted in the liver into vitamin A, this useful

vitamin is well known for its anti-cancer activity.

Further analysis proved that the grain contains potent sexual hormones, stimulants, digestive

enzymes, antacids, sedatives and other useful

compounds. Recently it was discovered that the

black seed activates the body immunity system and increases resistance to disease and the

continuous use of black seeds has a preventative

action against disease.

Those who seek permanent health should take the black seed oil in their breakfast, lunch &

dinner. A teaspoon of black seed oil mixed with

honey will be most effective.

The different names for the oil

lack seed oil is referred to differently

depending on where in the world you are. Variations can be found regionally, for example,

between places in India it is referred to as Kalonji

or Kalwanji oil, whilst in Arabia it is commonly

known as Habbat-ul Sauda. Other names include the Black Cumin oil, Blessed Seed oil, Habbat-ul

Barakah and Nigella Sativa.

Taking the above into consideration it is no

surprise that there has been a degree of confusion in finding the exact seed which the

Prophet told us about. As mentioned above it is

sometimes called the Black Cumin Seed, however

this does not resemble the Black Cumin which the Indians refer to as Jeera. The most common

English name for the Blessed Seed oil is Black

Seed Oil.

here are very few Ayurvedic herbs which are

as important and versatile as Kalonji black

cumin oil. The black seeds of Kalonji have more

than 100 medicinal components. Medically, Kalonji is used as antiseptic and beneficial for

many diseases like blood sugar, blood pressure

and body weight.

Since, it helps to cure many diseases and

disorders and helps in developing the resistance

of the body, therefore, Nigella seeds are termed

Hair Loss

alonji oil for hair is an important home

remedy to make hair smooth and stronger.

However, many people do not really know how to use Kalonji oil on hair.

Kalonji oil cures baldness. Rub Kalonji oil on the

head twice a day, which is helpful to prevent baldness. Baldness can also be prevented when

a mixture of coffee one cup is taken along with

Kalonji oil 1/2 spoon twice a day.

Rub your hair with lime juice, leave it for 15 minutes. Now, wash it with shampoo and use

Kalonji oil when hair gets dry. Following the

procedure for one week will help you to prevent

premature falling of hair.

Heat the mix of Kalonji oil - 10 grams, Olive oil

(30 grams) and Mehandi powder - 30 grams for

few minutes till it converted into paste. Apply the paste over your head and wash it. The method is

helpful to get rid of dandruff.

Migraine

alonji oil is good in the treatment of

headache.

To cure migraine, it is suggested to instil Kalonji

oil (one drop) in the opposite nasal area of the

headache. It is useful to cure half sided headache

as well.

To relieve from headache, massage with Kalonji

oil is also effective.

It is also suggested that Kalonji treatment is helpful in getting rid of migraine when 10 drops

of Kalonji oil is taken once a day.

Rubbing of Kalonji oil on the forehead and near ears are beneficial to headache.

Drinking of Kalonji black cumin oil half tea spoon

twice a day is good to overcome migraine.

Beauty Tips

alonji can be used as herbal beauty tips at

home.

The mix of olive oil - 1 tsp and Kalonji oil 1/2 tsp rubs on the face. After applying leave it for an

hour and wash it with shampoo. Continue it for a

week. This is one of the fine beauty tips for face.

Take a cup of orange juice and mix Kalonji oil 1/2

tsp twice a day, generally in the morning and

before going to bed. One can observe the beauty

benefits of kalonji oil after four weeks. It is beneficial against pimples, red granules and

blackheads.

The mix of Sunheri gearu - 10 gms and few drops of Kalonji oil, applied on the face at night and

wash it in the morning. This tips helps in glowing

of skin.

Make a mixture of olive oil and kalonji oil - 50 gms of each. Drink half spoon of the same in the

morning before breakfast. The combination is

helpful as an herbal skin care tips.

Take the mix of honey 2tsp + Kalonji oil 1/2 tsp

+ olive oil 1/2 tsp. Mix all the ingredients

properly. Use it twice a day-once in the morning

and secondly in the evening and continue for one months. It is helpful in skin care and skin smooth.

The application of kalonji oil and vinegar is good

to control skin diseases. It should be applied

before going to bed.

Stomach Pain

alonji oil is helpful in stomach ache of

children.

Children can be given the mix of Kalonji oil 2

drops and mother or cow’s milk in case the child

experiencing stomach pain.

Take the mix of Kalonji oil 1/2 tsp and milk 1 cup

twice a day, it helps to give relief from chest

irritation and stomach related problems.

The combination of ginger juice 1 tsp and Kalonji

oil 1/2 tsp when drink twice a day, eases

indigestion, stomach irritation and stomach ache.

Digestion of food will enhance when the mix of Kalonji oil 1/2 tsp, Vinegar 1/2 tsp and Sugar

1tsp are taken twice a day in the evening and

morning. It should continue for 10 days.

The mix of Honey 200 gm and Kalonji oil 1/2 tsp

when uses in the morning and evening, is helpful in diseases of liver and abdomen.

Take Vinegar 1/2 tsp and Kalonji Oil 1/2 tsp, the

ingredients are useful in overcoming the problems of round worm and tape worm in the

stomach.

Dental Problems

alonji oil is very effective at treating of dental problems and dental diseases.

To get relief from toothache and teeth soreness,

Kalonji oil can be rubbed at the affected part.

Continue the after 15 seconds.

Gargling with Black seed oil 1/2 tsp mixed with

water helps to solve teeth problems.

Dental problems such as premature fall of teeth,

teeth weakening, bleeding from teeth, bad smell,

etc. it is advisable to take the mix of Kalonji oil

1/2 tsp and 1 cup of plain yogurt twice a day.

Dental problems can be sorted out when Kalonji

oil soaked cotton is put on the affected area and

remove it after 15-20 minutes. It may be

continued foe seven days to solve teeth problems.

The combination of vinegar 1 tsp and Kalonji oil

1/2 tsp when applied on the affected area for two

to three minutes and rinsed the mouth. It is teeth caring and helpful in removing of teeth pain.

Pain Relief

alonji alone or in combination with other

herbs are beneficial for pain relief.

The mix of vinegar 1tsp, honey 2 tsp and kalonji

oil 1/2 tsp when taken twice a day is helpful in

pain management.

The massage with black seeds oil is helpful for relieving the effects of arthritis.

Eating two pieces of dry fig along with 4 drops of

kalonji oil is beneficial in treatment of joint pain, back ache, and neck pain.

How to make Kalonji Oil?

Kalonji oil has innumerable health benefits.

Kalonji oil can prepare by pressing Kalonji seeds

with pressing machine. Before making oil from

the seeds, it is suggested that seeds should be

clean and be free from dirt and dust.

Cystic Fibrosis

assage the chest with black seed oil, and drink a mixture of one teaspoon black seed

oil with a teaspoon pure honey, morning

afternoon and evening.

Diabetes

ix a cup of whole black seeds, a cup of Water Cress Seeds (Mustard seed can be used as

an alternative), half a cup of pomegranate peel

and half a cup of fumitory. Grind the mixture to

powder. Take half a teaspoon of the mixture together with a teaspoon of black seed oil daily

before breakfast for one month.

For the treatment of these diseases the following

method is adopted. Take one cup decoction

(Black tea), Mix half table spoon of kalonji oil and

drink it in the morning and before going to bed.

Avoid oily food stuff, particularly fried items. If any other allopathic treatment is going on

continue it that treatment.

After 20 days check the sugar, is its normal Allopathic treatment should be stopped and

kalonji treatment be continued. After forty days,

sweet can be taken to check the sugar level. If

it’s normal stop the treatment.

Many people drink black tea to try to wake up and

have more energy. There is good scientific evidence to show this works. Black tea has a lot

of caffeine. It also contains a little bit of a

stimulating substance called theophylline. Both

can speed up your heart rate and make you feel more alert.

Black tea is also full of healthy substances called

polyphenols. Polyphenols are antioxidants that can help protect your cells from DNA damage.

Some scientists think that specific antioxidants in

tea, including polyphenols and catechins, may

help prevent some types of cancer. For example, some research shows that women who regularly

drink black tea have a much lower risk of ovarian

cancer than women who do not.

But more research is needed. So far, research

has shown that black tea does not lower the risk

of breast, stomach, or colorectal cancer.

Increasing evidence hints that the antioxidants in

black tea may reduce atherosclerosis (clogged

arteries), especially in women. It may also help

lower the risk of heart attack.

risk for these conditions:

these conditions is needed to be sure.

Early evidence hints that long-term use of black

ix a teaspoon of black seed oil with a cup of

yoghurt. Drink the mixture twice a day until

symptoms disappear.

teaspoon of black seed oil should be mixed

in coffee and taken twice a day. Rub the chest and back with black seed oil.

Eye Disease & Impaired Vision

ub the eyelids and the sides of the eye orbits

half an hour before going to bed with black

drunk with a cup of carrot juice. Results should be apparent in one month’s time.

repare a formulation of 250g of ground black

seed & 250g pure honey, stir thoroughly

before use. Take two tablespoons of this formulation and mix thoroughly with half a cup of

hot water. Finally add one teaspoon of black seed

oil. This mixture is to be taken every morning

before consuming any food.

Sleep and Active All Day Along

teaspoon of black seed oil mixed in a glass of orange juice with breakfast makes you

active all through the day. A teaspoon of black

seed oil mixed in a hot drink after supper gives

you a quiet sleep all through the night.

Rheumatism

arm Black seed oil slightly and apply to the area thoroughly as if you are massaging the

bone, not the skin and drink half teaspoon Black

seed oil three times daily for 15 days.

this stimulates the growth of the beard and

Breast Feeding

(Increase the flow of breast milk)

repare a mixture of 250g black seeds & 250g

pure honey, stir thoroughly before each

dosage. Take two tablespoons of this formulation mixed with one teaspoon of black seed oil daily.

Common Cold & Nasal Congestion

irstly fry whole black seeds, then finely grind

them into powder. Soak this in black seed oil and any vegetable oil. Place three to four drops

in each nostril. Note this will cause excessive

sneezing therefore be prepared for it. And once

the sneezing is finished you will feel better.

Hypertension

ake half teaspoon of Black seed oil with any

hot drink at any time. Take 2 cloves of garlic

on empty stomach. Apply Black seed oil to your

whole body and expose it to the sun every three days, continue the treatment for a month.

ake half teaspoon of black seed oil mixed with

any hot drink daily in the mornings, this will

liquefy the fats and widen the veins and arteries.

Throat

ut a few drops of oil in to a cup of boiling water and inhale the vapor. Take half a teaspoon of

black seed oil with lemon juice daily.

pply black seed oil to the forehead, sides of face adjacent to the ears and behind the ears.

Take half teaspoon of Black seed Oil and continue

for about 3 days.

Eye infection, Pain and Weak sight

pply Black seed oil around the eyes and on

the eye lid before going to sleep. Take half a

teaspoon Black seed oil mixed with carrot juice.

For weak sight continue treatment.

In Chinese languages and the languages of

neighboring countries, black tea is known as ‘red

tea’ (Japanese kōcha; 홍차, Korean hongcha,

Bengali Lal cha), a description of the color of the

liquid; the Western term ‘black tea’ refers to the

color of the oxidized leaves. In Chinese, ‘black tea’ is a commonly used classification for post-

fermented teas, such as Pu-erh tea. Outside of

China and its neighboring countries, ‘red tea’ more commonly refers to rooibos, a South

African herbal tea.

While green tea usually loses its flavor within a year, black tea retains its flavor for several years.

For this reason, it has long been an article of

trade, and compressed bricks of black tea even

served as a form of de facto currency in Mongolia, Tibet and Siberia into the 19th century. Although

green tea has recently seen a revival due to its

purported health benefits, black tea still accounts

for over ninety percent of all tea sold in the West.

Black tea is a product made from the Camellia

sinesis plant. The aged leaves and stems are

used to make medicine. Green tea, which is made

from fresh leaves of the same plant, has some different properties.

Black tea is used for improving mental alertness

as well as learning, memory and information processing skills. It is also used for treating

headache and low blood pressure; preventing

heart disease, including ‘hardening of the

arteries’ (atherosclerosis) and heart attack;

preventing Parkinson’s disease; and reducing the risk of stomach and colon cancer, lung cancer,

ovarian cancer, and breast cancer.

It is also used for type 2 diabetes, stomach

disorders, vomiting, diarrhea, and as a diuretic to increase urine flow. Some people use black tea

for preventing tooth decay and kidney stones. In

combination with various other products, black

tea is used for weight loss.

How does it work?

Black tea contains 2% to 4% caffeine, which

affects thinking and alertness, increases urine

output, and may reduce the symptoms of Parkinson's disease. It also contains antioxidants
