SPECIFIC HEALTH ADMINISTRATION RESUME

Ref: AIMSAAB4QTTTTHHHHHFPPPP

Updated : IN CONJUNCTION WITH ACADEMIC CV

Background information

MCLNO/LSU Hospital (ILH) was a 225-bed acute care Level 1 Trauma Center hospital catering to a wide mix of

patients and services include all specialties and subspecialties including Psych and Behavioral health up to June

2013. Its ambulatory services include outpatient surgical units / Diagnostic and Treatment center (DTD) and a very

busy multispecialty hospital -based clinic structure. It had about 800 faculty members on its staff from both Tulane

and LSUHSC. From 2008, when I joined and till June 2013, it was a state-run facility managed by LSU System Office

as part of its 7 hospital and clinics network. The LSU hospital in New Orleans was it5s flagship hospital with its robust

very extensive tertiary ambulatory clinics system and specialty referral center. This was the hospital and clinic system

to which I was attached academically, clinically and administratively as CMO and for a year as Interim CEO. From

June 2013 it has been contracted out and has become a part of a private health care system called LCMC. I was a

part of that too till Dec 2013 at their invitation to continue as CMO. I stepped down from that role under LCMC in Dec

2013 and moved exclusively back to the LSU Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) system, my original base.

At that time, at the invitation of the Chancellor and Dean of LSUHSC, I was appointed as the CMO of the LSU Health

Network Clinics (LSUHN) The LSUHN is a 501-3C is a section of the LSU Health with its providers a part of the

multidisciplinary faculty group practice clinics throughout the city and practicing at various hospitals such as ILH,

Ochsner, Touro, EJ and WJ as part of the hospital based clinics
