An evidence-based review of antibiotics in cattle. - Respiratory disease, musculoskeletal infections, pinkeye, mastitis, central nervous system disease, they all bring out the antibi-otics. How much difference do we make and can antibiotic susceptibility testing help us make decisions? Where do our antibiotic choices matter? NSAIDs and Steroids in cattle. - We use these compounds in the hopes of improving clinical outcomes and improving animal welfare. What does the evidence say about their effects on infectious disease? What about central nervous system (CNS) disease in cattle? Keynote: Antibiotic stewardship exemplifying our roles in leadership and service - Antibiotic resistance is real. You may be surprised at what really drives our prescribing habits. So, you think its science? Our pharmaceutical regulatory future. - Prescriptions, protocols, VCPRs, VFDs, AMDUCA, compounding, use reporting, use monitoring, legislation, regulations, the FDA 5-year plan, and now retailer requirements. As licensed professionals we are expected to have a handle on all of this. Come listen, question, interact, and maybe vent just a little.

An evidence-based review of antibiotics in cattle. Respiratory disease, musculoskeletal infections, pinkeye, mastitis, central nervous system disease, they all bring out the antibiotics. How much difference do we make and can antibiotic susceptibility testing help us make decisions? Where do our antibiotic choices matter? NSAIDs and Steroids in cattle. We use these compounds in the hopes of improving clinical outcomes and improving animal welfare. What does the evidence say about their effects on infectious disease? What about central nervous system (CNS) disease in cattle? KEYNOTE: Antibiotic stewardship exemplifying our roles in leadership and service Antibiotic resistance is real. You may be surprised at what really drives our prescribing habits. So, you think its science? Our pharmaceutical regulatory future. Prescriptions, protocols, VCPRs, VFDs, AMDUCA, compounding, use reporting, use monitoring, legislation, regulations, the FDA 5-year plan, and now retailer requirements. As licensed professionals we are expected to have a handle on all of this. Come listen, question, interact, and maybe vent just a little.
