FBISD 2018 Summer Band CampOverviewThe FBISD Middle School Summer Band Camp will offer students the opportunity to perform in a large ensemble, as well as small sectional rehearsals of like instruments, and learn from a variety of instructors. Students also will receive instruction in sight-reading, basic theory, and rhythm study.

Daily activities will include: 1) full band rehearsals2) section rehearsals3) entertaining music elective courses4) enrichment assemblies (guest performers, percussion ensemble, etc.)5) Public concert at Austin HS and Social Activity at the Main Event in the Fountains on Friday, June 29 (additional fee for this activity)

Fees   Fort Bend ISD Students - $145 (includes camp fee, lunch each day, bag, and a camp t-shirt)

Non-Fort Bend ISD Students - $160 (includes camp fee, lunch each day, bag, and a camp t-shirt)Main Event Entertainment Activity (optional) - $20

Registration Deadline is May 31, 2018 Late Registration is available from June 1 – 24for an additional $15 fee

Dress and GroomingStudents attending summer Fine Arts Camps in Fort Bend Independent School District will be required to follow all dress and grooming policies of the District.

RefundsNo refunds will be given after the first day. A $10.00 processing fee will be deducted from all requested refunds prior to 6/19. This fee will increase to $25.00 on 6/19.

EmailEmail will be used expressly for camp updates and communicating with parents and guardians. The FBISD Fine Arts Department will not send any unsolicited emails.

Please refer all questions relating to the summer band camp to the FBISD Fine Arts Department at 281-634-1124.

The camp is for students entering grades 7-9 in the Fall 2018

RegistrationEnrollment will be open to all students entering grades 7-9 or students who have completed at least one year of musical training on their instrument.

Registration and payment for summer camps will be taken in two ways:• Online: Go to https://fortbendisd.revtrak.net/tek9.asp and click on the “Register for Summer Fine Arts Camps Here” link to access the online registration form and to process payment with a credit card.• By mail: Fill out and mail the attached registration form with a check to the address below. All registration forms and payments must be postmarked no later than Thursday, May 31, 2018. Please do not drop registration forms at the student’s home campus or at the Administration Building.• Late registration: (after May 31) will be taken online only. An additional $15 fee is required for late registration.
