Join Molly Fuchs as she chronicles the remarkable and rich history of the Fort Pitt Block House. Join us as Dr. Preston, psychologist and life coach, demonstrates how to channel your anger into productivity through the use of simple assertive behaviors that promote better moods and functioning at work, home and play. (2013) The Reel Story July 8 DVD 146 minutes Peace-loving Chris Holden is a militiaman who buys and then frees beautiful indentured servant Abby Hale. When a supplier of illegal firearms covets Abby for himself, he sparks a vicious battle between an Indian tribe and a few brave colonists. Starring Gary Cooper and Paulette Goddard. (1947) John Muir in the New World July 15 DVD 85 minutes American Masters examines the life and career of John Muir set against the magnificent landscapes of the American West. The Scottish-born naturalist was one of the first nature preserva- tionists in American history, inspiring others through his writing and his advocacy to keep the wilderness wild. Presented by PBS. The Reel Story July 22 DVD 110 minutes Butch and Sundance head up the infamous Hole-in-the-Wall Gang. Butch is an idea man while Sundance is a true gunfighter. When they rob a train once too often, a relentless posse is sent to track them down in Bolivia. Starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford. (1969) Ancient Computer July 29 DVD 60 minutes An unpromising lump of metal found in a 2,000-year-old ship- wreck turned out to be an extraordinary treasure: the world's first computer. NOVA follows the ingenious detective work that pain- stakingly discovered the truth about the ancient Greek device: it was an astonishingly sophisticated astronomical calculator and eclipse predictor, unrivaled until the era of modern science and believed to be from the workshop of Archimedes.
