Sunday Night—Arrival at the district office for the bus...bus arrival at 1AM.

Monday—Arrival to Phoenix at around 6am! Free day! Knowing me, I was off

getting food at the marketplace ;P

Tuesday—District tour at the GRAND CANYON! Getting to explore the area

while getting to know others in the district better!

Wednesday—Registration! Meet and greet later on to get to know people from

other districts! People from places you only hear about! They had lots of fun

things...like giant twister and even a mechanical bull!

Thursday—District Caucus breakouts—began the evaluation of candidates for

International Board! Got together with our sister districts, Texas-Oklahoma,

Utah-Idaho, and KIWIN’S in a caucusing room to evaluate qualifications.

Danced the night away! There was a dance!

Friday—Workshops! Learned a LOT about project ELIMINATE and neonatal

tetanus. More caucus breakouts. We’ve got to find the best candidates to

serve at the international level!

Saturday– Workshops! Workshops! Workshop! Learned a lot more about

projects, and how to be an LTG! You’ll find many workshops that will suit you!

House of Delegates was on this day as well to vote for the IBoard based on

qualifications! Iboard announced and installed at the general session, and

ended the night with another dance!

Sunday—The trip back.

It was an amazing week! I encourage EVERYONE to attend! Next year will be

tons of fun at the amazing Orlando, Florida!

Meet your new Divisional Board!

Virgiline Ongkingco—Executive Assistant

Below is our new divisional board! These people will be serving

you closely throughout the Key Club year. Get to know them!

Hey you guys, I'm Virgiline. I'm one of the new executive assistants on

the divisional board. I go to King High school part of class 2013! This

upcoming year, I'm looking forward to a more tightly knit division with

more penguin spirit! Which I hope will result from more attendance at

the DCM's! I'm also looking forward to more participation in our com-

munities for improvement!

I applied for this position because I actually enjoy the DCM's and like to

contribute to the divisional board. I wasn't in key club to begin with, but

some of my friends encouraged me to attend the DCM's and I have a lot

of fun there. So, I applied as executive assistant to help our LTG in any-

ways to recruit new members and help increase the participation and

spirit!

Juliana Deer—Executive Assistant

Hello D6 Penguins!

What's up?! My name is Juliana Deer! I like rocks, food, being a servant

leader, long waddles in the South Pole as well as the D6 area, and am

proud to have been appointed as one of your divisional board members

as an executive assistant!

I am currently attending John F. Kennedy Middle College High School

in Norco and will be graduating as a member of the class of 2013. Al-

though I can be extremely awkward, I am most excited for and very

much looking forward to meeting and giving service with all of you!

Valerie Kwee—Divisional Secretary /

Newsletter Editor (for now) Hello Key Clubbers!!

My name is Valerie Kwee and I will be your Divisional Secretary for the

2011-2012 year. Because we will be working together for a whole year, I

would like to introduce myself. I am a freshman at Eleanor Roosevelt

High School and am a new member in Key Club. I joined Key Club to

become more active within the community and to enhance my social

skills.

Although I am new to Key Club, I decided to run for the position of Di-

visional Secretary because I feel that I will be able to put my skills to

good use under this position. I know we will have a great year together

and I look forward to working with you all. :)
