www.ColumbiaCottage.com Kindness is a sign of Greatness! A few months ago, I came across a devotional series from Robert Strand. One of the topics outlined centered around the perception that kindness is not as highly prized by everyone as it should be. Why? Well, many simply say that being kind has a too-costly price tag and they are not prepared to pay it. To them, showing kindness can be too time-consuming, too demanding, or too likely to interfere with their own lifestyle (i.e. too busy looking out for #1). But let me stop and set the record straight… To me, kindness is not weakness or wimpishness! Kindness is the way in which you act and speak. As my grandfather use to say, “ …it’s an attitude.” A quality of character that stands firm – yet doesn’t have to beat down another in order to stand tall. Remember, kindness is a real harvest of the spirit for others and has a boomerang effect – the more you give it, the more that comes back to you. So, take time to allow gentleness and kindness to grow in your spirit and please, share freely. -Jim July 2020 Message from the President of Columbia Cottage Gardening Club News from Columbia Cottage Assisted Living Community The ONLY Licensed Assisted Living in the area VISION Performing with a passion for excellence while doing the right things the right way.
