● Using the guide provided by ODE along with input from our local health department, the Leadership Team has created a framework that will be used by a core team of teachers, principals and staff to build upon.

PreK-5 will have Face-to-Face Learning
● Attend school every day● Additional safety features in a traditional learning
environment ○ Be vigilant in monitoring for symptoms○ Masks
■ Required for all Staff■ Required for students when on buses
and when transitioning in common areas● Staff will rotate to minimize student transitions● Social distancing of 6’ separation● Students will each have their own iPad● Limited shared items● Breakfast and lunch served in the classroom
6-12 will follow a Blended Learning Model
● Learning both at school and home● Students will each have their own iPad● Students will be split into two groups
(Group A & Group B)○ Each student group will attend
school for two days per week and participate in remote learning for three days per week
○ Families will attend on same days

● Block schedule to limit transitions● During face-to-face learning, additional

K-12 Families will have a Fully Virtual Learning Option
● 100% online learning option for all families ○ Student learns from home ○ Interactive lessons○ Increase in student/staff interaction○ Lessons will be designed and
delivered by Canton City School teachers
○ Families will be asked to make a semester commitment
Special Education
Special Education staff will be working directly with each student and family to:
● review student progress during the school closure in the spring● determine student specific needs● create a skill recovery plan aligned with IEP goals● create a robust and engaging learning experience for the fall
Based on Ohio’s County Risk Level Alert, we will be prepared to transition to Full Virtual for all students, if needed.
