Day 1 (Monday, May 20) – DEPART CHARLOTTE

Day 2 (Tuesday, May 21) – ARRIVE TEL AVIV, ISRAELWe will meet our tour guide, Dr. Monte Luker, and our driver, Elvis, who will assist us in collecting our bags and getting through customs and security. We will travel in our very comfortable tour bus to the town of Netanya (means: “Gift of the Lord”) for a restful night and dinner on the shores of the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. God will likely give you a gift of a most incredible sunset over the sea - Psalm 113:3 & Psalm 65:8.Overnight Netanya Plaza 1/1

Day 3 (Wednesday, May 22) – BIRTH OF THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH Today we travel to Caesarea – the place Peter shared the “Good News” to Cornelius - Acts 10, and the place Paul was imprisoned in AD 58-60. Ascend Mount Carmel (which in Hebrew means “Vineyard of God”), where the prophet Elijah challenged the 450 Baal prophets to a contest - 1 Kings 18. At the top, we’ll visit the Carmelite monastery at Muhraka. Explore Tel Megiddo (Greek = Armageddon) - 1 Kings 9-15. This area is thought to have been the location of more battles than any place in the world, and 26 settlements have been uncovered here. Imagine the vast armies of the world gathering for battle - Revelation 16. It overviews the vast Jezreel Valley. A restful night awaits in Tiberias on the shores of the Sea of Galilee.Overnight Tiberias Caesar 1/4

Day 4 (Thursday, May 23) – CHILDHOOD OF JESUSWe travel to Sepphoris (called the ornament of all Galilee) and likely where Joseph and Jesus worked as builders. We then head to Nazareth - Matthew 2:19-23, as we visit the Church of the Annunciation, which sits over the house of the Holy Family – a place believed that the Angel Gabriel told Mary that she would be the mother of the Son of God - Luke 1:26-38. We will explore what life was like in the time of Jesus and also tour a re-creation of daily life at Nazareth Village. Another restful night of fellowship and rest awaits at our hotel in Tiberias. Overnight Tiberias Caesar 2/4

Day 5 (Friday, May 24) – JESUS’ MINISTRY AROUND THE SEA OF GALILEEWe will begin our day in Bethsaida, the hometown of Philip, Peter and Andrew, and walk on the famous trail which Jesus would have taken as he performed many miracles - Mark 89: 22-26 & Luke 9:10-17. It is the place where Jesus called his first disciples. We will have an opportunity to recommit to our following of Jesus through re-affirmation of baptism at the Jordan River. We travel on to the seaside “Town of Jesus,” Capernaum – the place of Peter’s house, an early house church, and the site of numerous miracles - Luke 7:1-10 & Luke 5:17-26. We will ascend to the Mount of Beatitudes - Matthew chapters 5-7 - and view the Galilee shore and a first-century fishing boat. Consider what it must have been like for Jesus to calm a storm from such a boat - Mark 4:35-41 or to see Jesus walk on water - Matthew 14:22-33 or to realize that Jesus is the

Son of God! We will embark on our own boat ride across the sea and visit Kursi, where Legion was healed and demons drove pigs off a cliff - Mark 5:1-10. We will study the recent excavations in the town of Magdala, the home of Mary Magdalene, and reflect on her sincere devotion to Christ - John 20:11-18. Here we will share in Holy Communion. We will travel to the plush Tel Dan Reserve – the fore waters of the Jordan. We continue to the ancient Roman city of Caesarea Philippi. This beautiful location is the home and worship place to many ancient gods. It is the place of Peter’s confession, “You are the Christ” - Matthew 16:13-19. Next, we continue south toward the Dead Sea, stopping at the city of Jericho. This was the first city to be conquered by Joshua in the land of Canaan - Joshua 6:1-27. We spend the night at the beautiful Kibbutz Ein Gedi on the shores of the Dead Sea. Overnight Kibbutz En Gedi 1/2

Day 8 (Monday, May 27) – DAY OF REST & RENEWAL Enjoy the day at the Ein Gedi wellness retreat – Ezekiel 47:1-10. Learn a little more about the Davidic line, leading to Jesus. You will not want to miss the amazing sunrises and sunsets.
