Dear Parents/ Caregivers Kia Ora, Malo e Lelei, Talofa, Mabuhay, Greetings SENIOR PRIZEGIVING Wednesday November 8th : 7p.m, Edmund Rice Centre Parents, caregivers and grandparents are cordially invited to attend our senior academic prizegiving, which recognises the outstanding academic achievements of our senior students. It is a wonderful opportunity to gather as a JPC community and celebrate all that has been achieved this year. SCHOOL CONTRIBUTIONS (Thank you) I extend my sincere thanks to all parents who are paying school contributions. This income is vital to continuing the high quality education that John Paul College provides your children. The reality for school is the ‘government provides for the basics’ but if we want for example, superior ICT facilities, we must rely on our resources.

These contributions may be claimed in your personal tax return. There is a 10% discount if the full fee is paid by the end of March. Payment can be made by cheque, cash, eftpos or credit card. Or, if automatic payments have

There is also a family rebate of $100.00 for the third and any additional child in the same family.

2018 YEAR 13 LEADERSHIP CAMP will be held from

Tuesday 30th January returning Thursday the 1st February.

Students and chaperones will be staying at The Park Hotel at National park and completing the Tongariro Crossing on Wednesday 31st January, along with other leadership activities. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this year’s Christmas Shoe Box appeal. We managed to pack 70 boxes this year with a great array of gifts for needy children overseas. Thanks to the generosity of both staff and JPC families, we managed to raise a huge $1,900 dollars to contribute both to the transportation and to delivery of our boxes, and quite a few others!

CELEBRATION OF DIWALI Thank you so much to everyone who came to support the Celebration of Diwali last Friday. It was a fantastic evening with a range of fun dances as well as some amazing food. John Paul College is pleased to continue the Duke of Edinburgh's Hillary Award at the college in 2018.

The awards are open to students from ages 14-25 (students can start at 13 if they are turning 14 during the award time frame). There are three levels Bronze. Silver and Gold (please see attachment for time requirements) and four sections to each award, apart from Gold where there are five (residential project).
