The roots of JM Construction date back to 2001, when its founder Mr. James Moy started to involve in various residential and commercial property projects within Penang area. The Tasks for Contractors: -
To build the project which has been created and assigned. Ensuring clients of their duties. Cooperate with other company which playing different role in the
construction. Consult with the workers in good time Provide legal workers with specified information and background. Guarantee the building is the built according to the drawings. Negotiate with consultants, sub-traders and owner to achieve the common goal
of work being completed on time.
The Roles of Contractor in the project: -
Upon received the letter of award, contractors will carry out the following:- 1. To purchase insurances - Contractors All Risks (C.A.R.) - Workers' compensation
2. To notify Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (C.I.D.B.) and Jabatan Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan Malaysia (JKKP).
3. To submit workers' Quarters, Fabrication Yards, site office layout plan to local council.
4. To submit the following for Architect approval - Construction programs - Site organizations chart
5. To engage licensed Surveyor to carry out all necessary surveying work prior to construction.
Upon commencement of works 1. Check all plans to find out any discrepancies & to inform consultants accordingly prior to constructions.
2. Materials procurements according to specifications.
3. Subletting of works to sub-contractors.
4. Carry out the constructions in accordance to the approved plans & project specification within time and budget.
Upon Completion of works1. Carry out relevant inspection or testing to issue Surat Sokongan for Certificate of Fitness. - IWK for sewer line- BOMBA for Fire Hydrant, Fire-rated doors & walls, and wet & dry riser. - TNB for electricity- SYABAS for water- JKR for road- Engineering for street lighting and drainage
