Grades 1 – 4

Activity: Answering with wisdom

Write four Bible verse references on a piece of paper.

Psalm 56:3 (fear)

John 14:27 (anxiety)

Psalm 23:4 (sadness)

Joshua 1:9 (nervousness)

Work together with your kids to look up each reference and how the truth found in each verse might help us through certain hard times we face.

Say: As we go throughout life, we are certain to face hard times. The good news is we do not have to face these hard times alone. God has given us His Word, which provides wisdom, truth, and encouragement in times of need. God teaches us through His Word. If any of these verses comfort you, write down the references to read again later when you go through something difficult or to share with someone who might need wisdom from God’s Word.
