Psalm 130From the depths of woe I raise to Thee
a voice of lamentation. Lord, turn a gracious ear to me
and hear my supplication. If Thou iniquities dost mark,
our secret sins and misdeeds dark, O who shall stand before Thee?
To wash away the crimson stain, grace, grace alone availeth.
Our works, alas, are all in vain; in much the best life faileth.
No man can glory in Thy sight, all must alike confess Thy might,
and live alone by mercy.
Therefore my trust is in the Lord, and not in mine own merit. On Him my soul shall rest;
His word upholds my fainting spirit. His promised mercy is my fort,
my comfort, and my sweet support. I wait for Him with patience.
What though I wait the live-long night and ‘til the dawn appeareth,
my heart still trusteth in His might; it doubteth not nor feareth.
Do thus, O ye of Israel’s seed, ye of the Spirit born indeed, and wait ‘til God appeareth.
Though great our sins and sore our woes, His grace much more aboundeth. His helping love no limit knows;
our utmost need it soundeth. Our Shepherd good and true is He,
who will at last His people free from all their sin and sorrow.
Christ, The Solid Rock
My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
When darkness seems to hide His face,I rest on His unchanging grace;In every high and stormy gale,My anchor holds within the veil.
On Christ, the solid rock, I stand;All other ground is sinking sand,All other ground is sinking sand.
His oath, His covenant, His blood, Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,He then is all my hope and stay.
On Christ, the solid rock, I stand;All other ground is sinking sand,All other ground is sinking sand.
When He shall come with trumpet sound,O may I then in Him be found;
Dressed in His righteousness alone,Faultless to stand before the throne.
On Christ, the solid rock, I stand;All other ground is sinking sand,All other ground is sinking sand.
Made to Worship
Before the day… Before the light…Before the world revolved around the sun
God on high Stepped down into timeAnd wrote the story of His love for
everyone
He has filled our hearts with wonderSo that we always remember
You and I were made to worshipYou and I are called to love
You and I are forgiven and free
You and I embrace surrenderYou and I choose to believe
You and I will see who we were meant to be
All we are… And all we have…Is all a gift from God that we receiveBrought to life, we open up our eyes
To see the majesty and glory of the King
He has filled our hearts with wonderSo that we always remember
You and I were made to worshipYou and I are called to love
You and I are forgiven and free
You and I embrace surrenderYou and I choose to believe
You and I will see who we were meant to be
And even the rocks cry outAnd even the Heavens shout
At the sound of His Holy name
So let every voice sing outAnd let every knee bow downHe is worthy of all our praise
You and I were made to worshipYou and I are called to love
You and I are forgiven and free
You and I embrace surrenderYou and I choose to believe
You and I will see who we were meant to be
You and I were made to worshipYou and I are called to love
You and I are forgiven and free
You and I embrace surrenderYou and I choose to believe
You and I will see who we were meant to be.
Oh For a Closer WalkOh! for a closer walk with God,
A calm and heav'nly frame; A light to shine upon the road That leads me to the Lamb!
Where is the blessedness I knew When first I saw the Lord?
Where is the soul-refreshing view Of Jesus, and his word?
What peaceful hours I once enjoy'd How sweet their mem'ry still!
But they have left an aching void, The world can never fill.
The dearest idol I have known, Whate'er that idol be;
Help me to tear it from thy throne, And worship only thee.
So shall my walk be close with God, Calm and serene my frame;
So purer light shall mark the road That leads me to the Lamb.
