  • Led by Assistant Secretary William R. Brownfield, who advises the President, Secretary of State, other bureaus in the Department of

    State, and other departments and agencies within the USG.

    Responsible for State Department programs combating illicit drugs and organized crime, as well as support for law enforcement and

    rule of law.

    INL currently manages a portfolio of more than $4 billion in more than 80 countries administered by 5,000 employees and

    contractors.

  • Assist foreign justice sectors to:

    Strengthen legislative frameworks.

    Engage in cross-border law enforcement cooperation.

    Enhance investigative and law enforcement functions.

    Develop capacity to prosecute and adjudicate environmental

    crime, and related corruption &

    money laundering.

  • Engage APEC EGILAT and ACT working groups

    Bring together anti-corruption experts with environmental crime and human trafficking experts

    Session will be held late August in Cebu, alongside SOM III to discusses how to combat corruption in the following areas: Illegal logging, Wildlife trafficking, and Human trafficking
