Lehman Brother in Administration - Financial control of the Lehman Brothers in Administration

(“LBiA”) estate in 2009

Royal Bank of Scotland and CVC Partners – restructuring a multi-national company, with a well-

known international bran, in distress in 2008/09. The company had over $1.5billion debt

HSBC - independent business review and restructuring of a Swiss-based international tech

group in 2008

Corporate Finance and Initial Public Offering (IPO)

Standard Life - IPO in 2006, one of the UK’s largest IPO projects in the past decade. I was a key

member of the short form reporting team, in preparing the historical financial information

under both UK GAAP and IFRS. I was subsequently required to carry out a post-IPO review of

the client’s global corporate funds (c£29billion).

Independent Insurance Group (in administration) - litigation in 2005. I worked closely with the

lawyers on this £300m law suit, on behalf of shareholders / creditors, against the former

auditor, actuary and the CEO of a £1bn insurance group. The case was settled by the

defendants outside the court as a result of strong evidence provided by the plaintiff.

Pamplona Capital – reviewed the fund manager’s financial model and valuation of a Spain-

based international manufacturer

American Express Bank – corporate intelligence service

Deutsche Bank - designed and delivered the bank’s global finance graduate training program in
