    Nizlopi is a two piece band from 1993-2010. the two members are Luke and

    john. Both whom come from England.

    The type of music that they sing are thatof and alternative folk music which alsoincludes indie music.

    What kind of video is it ?

    I can tell by this music animation video that it isa narrative linear performance which explains thestoryline and which also fits in with the lyrics ofthe song. There are two main protagonists which

    are Luke and his dad and at different points inthe song general things that get in Lukes waysuch as angry drivers or the bullies can beclassed as the antagonists of the performance.

    The genre of music that theynormally create is that of analternative folk band. At the sametime, some of their songs can beclassed as an indie folk. This isbecause some songs have a folkaspect, telling a story and using the

    For the video of the JCBsong nizlopi go for a morealternative type of videoand convention by usinganimation to portray theirvideo. This then can belinked to indie because of

    the way they haveportrayed the music video.

    Editing was a big part of the videoas it was all an animation so

    obviously editing was used. Whilethis was good it also had its downturns that they had only a fewdifferent angled shot . With noclose ups just a zoom at thebeginning so they haven'texplored the camera angles ormovements as much. With theoccasional shot of the front of the

    Thought-out the video it is quite and easy slow going type of pacethat the band use and this is portrayed in the animation with thejob going at the same pace but later on in the song the tempo ispicked up this then is represented in the video with the JCBspeeding up as if he's driving away from the Bullies also through

    the use of editing it made the video look as if the JCB is speedingoff. This then links back to the music and the fast tempo.

    Shots of the band = no

    One thing that I cannot add though isshots of the band itself playing the musicbecause the whole video is the

    animation. Therefore the audiencewouldnt be able to link the video andmusic with the band, this then would goagainst Goodwin's theory of linking a

    relationship between the music andvisuals of the performers and this wouldthen end in the audience not forming anrelation with the band.

    Voyeurism

    There is a lot of references in this videothat links back to voyeurism and how theband have looked in on the world of the

    band because the song is purely aboutLuke and his dad driving away frombullies and from the lyrics you can makea clear connection from what is said and

    what is shown in the video. So this tellsthe story of Luke and gives a sense ofvoyeurism into his younger self. At thesame time this is portrayed in a type of

    Representation of family

    From our video family is representedthrough the fact that Luke is singingabout him and his dad. From the video

    you can see that there is a clearrelationship between the main character(Luke) and his dad, the way you can seethis is that he is sitting next to his dad

    and that through the lyrics Luke is sayinghow great his dad is and through theselyrics you can see that he is very close tohis dad, representing family.

    Through this video you can see arelationship of youth in two ways. Oneway would be that there is a
