First thoughtsDavid hull, Pastor
I am writing this article from a new office. Yesterday was moving day for me, as I took supplies and materials out of my old office and began to settle into my new room. It was an exciting day for me and other staff members who are working hard to make this move. It was also a time of reflection for me as I left the room that had been occupied by Hopson, Langley, Walworth, Wiles before I ever came along. I thought of that wonderful pastoral legacy that was passed along in that room. The legacy continues – but the room
changes.
Before long our Music Ministry staff will make a similar move into some of the offices that have just been vacated. This will allow them to have much better office space and the move will create a greater capacity for the Music Library which is now very inadequate. Before long we will all be grouped together in areas that will enhance our interaction as a staff team.
I must stop here and say “THANKS.” I am so grateful for a church who understands the importance of a staff team that works well together. The wisdom to design this new office space and the decision to move ahead in the completion of this administrative area indicates your willingness to create the best working environment for the quality folks who live out their calling by working at First Baptist Church. Thank you, thank you.
I must also say “THANKS” to the Baptist Builders who will begin next week working to renovate the original offices. This group of volunteers in our church has done excellent work throughout our building and our community. They will now refashion the offices to meet the needs of our growing Music Ministry. Thanks guys for the work that you will soon be doing!
Once everyone has moved into his/her new office after all of the renovation work has been completed, we will have an Open House for the church to come see where we are all located. In the meantime, we encourage anyone to stop by during the week to check out the new Administrative Suite. I may even put you to work hanging pictures!
Our prayer is that this new space will be used for the glory of God as we, and those who come after us, will serve our Lord in this space for generations to come.
Thank you . . . thank you . . . thank you.

“Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.”
2 Corinthians 9:10 NASB
Together we HAVE planted.Together we ARE harvesting.
We have planted and harvested just in the first quarter of our financial year by:• Setting a goal of $70,000 for our Christmas Missions Offerings and exceeding
that goal by collecting $74,670!• Giving 10% more to offerings compared to the first quarter last year!• Extending the pledges and giving to completely finish the new facilities to the
full, original plan!
2 Corinthians 9:10 reflects our church giving:God has generously provided an abundance of seed and we rejoice that together we
have been faithful stewards of His gifts!

Thank you . . . thank you . . . thank you.
