James Long Cai Hunt

Tenor, Performer, Vocal Teacher (Classical, Musical, Pop)

James started his vocal training at the age of 16 under the tutelage of Tenor Ian Lim Kean

Seng and was admitted with a Full Scholarship to study at the Malaysian Institute of Art in

2003. He has also obtained both Performers Certificate with distinctionand ATCL

certificatefrom Trinity College London.

Being an award winning singer, James has maintained an impressive record in both

performance and competition.

James has won numerous awards in various international and local singing competition:

2nd runner up of the 7th Takasaki International Competition of Art and Music 2001"

in Japan at the age of 16; 2006, Gold Medal and Overall Best Singer in Hong Kong International Youth and

Children Choir Festival.

Overall Best Singer Award in the 29th National Singing Competition 2003 at the age

of 19, making him the youngest competitor ever to have won the title in the history of

the National Singing Competition;

1strunner up in Malaysia-Singapore Vocal Competition 2004;

Gold Medal 2001 National High School Singing Competition

He has performed in concert, musical and recitals throughout Malaysia and Asia including

China, Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Singapore:
