My definition of educational technology

…is the technology used to enhance and improve

performance through the learning and teaching processes. These may

include photographs, videos, and audio, but the most widely used tool is the

digital computer.

Kindergarten technology

I believe our teacher had a computer. We were able to watch movies and videos on the TV. We had a radio that we could sing with. Finally, there was a projector to show pictures and stories.

A vivid technology learning experience

• Transition from candle light to a common light switch

A technology I want to use in my classroom

• I want each student to have their own “entertainment set.” This means I want to create a set with a little TV, radio, and story/picture organizer. (This would be with early elementary.)

• SMARTBOARDS!

My vision of the classroom of the future

• We would be like the Magic School Bus and have a transporter to take us wherever we were studying.

A challenge for teaching

• I think students may miss out on the hands-on learning, culture, and the “normalcy” of being a kid.

Words of wisdom

• Who dares to teach must never cease to learn.
