Project NewsMay Tornado Ravages Warner Farm
On Friday May 4th, one of the longest tornadoes on record tracked through seven New Hampshiretowns. The most significant damage was in Warner, where winds were esmated at 90 to 100 mph, leaving in its wake a 300-foot swath of toppled trees and property damage. At the Brown family's150-acre Frazier Brook Farm (recipient of a 2017 LCHIP award), Nate Brown needed to salvagethree-quarters of a million board-feet of lumber as mber le on the ground for more than 2-3weeks could be stained by fungus, resulng in an even greater loss in value. Kimball Jenkins Estate, ConcordIn Concord, the Carolyn L. Jenkins Charitable Trust concludedroof repairs to an elaborate Victorian carriage house on theleafy grounds of the Kimball Jenkins Estate.
