2.5. Awards and honors, and research achievements: - 2011 – present: youngest associate professor of structural engineering in Italy.

- 2011 – present: within the first ten structural engineering professors in Italy (including full professors) with largest bibliometric indices. The youngest of those.

- 2011: awarded of the AXA – Research Fund grant. Only eight researchers worldwide awarded. The AXA – Research Fund (http://www.axa-research.org/) grant is considered to be very competitive as is internationally open to from all disciplines.

- 2008: development and installation of E.R.G.O. the first earthquake early warning terminal performing real-time seismic risk analysis for a building (installed in the main building of the school of engineering of the university of Naples Federico II). - September 2008: awarded for START CUP 2008, prize for the best entrepreneurial idea of Campania region with the project ALERT-ME regarding the development of a terminal for real-time seismic early warning. With the same project he took part to the final phase of the National Award for Innovation, held at the Polytechnic of Milan (Italy) in November 2008.
