Are you interested in the history of Italy?
Italy has great history about war and 58
million people live there. The Italians are
Roman and there holidays are different
than some of ours.
Italians can be traced back to the ninth
century. For Italians Christmas starts on
December 1st.The Roman Empire later
dominated Western Europe.
The name Italy is an ancient name for
the country and people of southern Italy.
Mythological roots of the name date back
to the ancient legendary king named Italus.
Between the 17th century and the 11th
century the Mycenaean Greeks made
contact with the Romans. Italy got attacked
in the fifth century by the barbarians.
Little is known about the Italian history
before the fifth century. Among the direct
results of the war was the claim of later
emperors. The copper millennium took
place in the fifth century. Italy is currently
ranked as the major regional power. Italy
plays a prominent role in European and
global military, cultural, and diplomatic
affairs.
Rome, the capitol of Italy was for centuries
a political and religious center. The
assumptions on the etymology of the name
Italia are very numerous and the corpus of
the solution proposed by historians and
linguists is very wide.

ITALAN FOOD BY: TYLER
When you dig into the
history of Italian food you realize that
there is much more to it than heaped
up piles of pasta. Italy expands over a
sizeable piece of southern Europe and
has many different regions each having
their own special dishes and eating
habits. The cooking styles and
ingredients also different from area to
area.
The food of Italy has also been
influenced with the changes that have
taken place in the world through the
passage of time. Today the Italian
dishes features meals that are based on
the pre Roman era taste along with
others that are strikingly different to
the traditional dishes of Italy.
Actually food is one of the
cornerstones of Italian culture
and even if times are changing
and life is more and more
frenetic, Italians still find a
great pleasure in sitting at a
table, in a home or restaurant
and sharing a good meal
together.
Italian food for Italians is a reason of
pride. You can recognize Italians abroad
for their longing of typical dishes, pasta
over every other. And you can see how
dishearten they are when they try pasta
outside Italy. Some upper class foreign
restaurants have managed to master
almost all the typical Italian dishes, but
pasta still eludes them.
Italians love discovering new foods
and new way of preparing familiar
dishes. Every year there's more and
more interest in the traditional
cuisine of the various regions and in
biological, environment friendly
foods.
