Observations and Conclusions

47% of the respondents use more than 5 tools to monitor their IT infrastructure.

About half of responders say cost (50%) and a siloed approach to monitoring and management (46%) are the main limitations of their current monitoring solution. Among those who reported using more than 5 tools, top concerns were scalability and jumping from tool to tool.

Satisfaction with end to end user experience monitoring relevantly lower than traditional monitoring of servers and networks etc.

Ability to monitor a wide variety of technologies and scalability emerged as the capabilities most valued among responders for a wide variety of technologies. Both rated a 4.3 on a 5 point scale where 5 is “very important.”
