The proceeds from tonight’s gala will benefit current students by supporting the school’s annual giving programme, the Fund for Excellence. This annual fundraising initiative allows us to enhance and enrich the learning environment of every student at ISZL

Each year the Gala showcases the best of ISZL: community, generosity and goodwill. These attributes are personified by the enthusiastic members of our Gala Committee who have given countless hours of their time to make this event possible, their dedication and commitment is greatly appreciated by all of us. During the Gala, attendees will have the opportunity to press their luck playing casino games. The gaming tables are for entertainment purposes only, and no monetary funds of any sort will be exchanged for chips. Winners may exchange their chips for raffle tickets which are entered into a draw with the winners claiming the prizes on offer. Prizes are provided by local businesses. Game rules will be strictly followed by the hired dealer.

– To place a silent auction bid, legibly print your name in the starting bid space or on the line following the highest current bid.

– Indicate your bid in the appropriate space on your bidding row. To be valid, all new bids must be higher than the previous bid by at least the amount given in the instructions of the individual bidding sheet.

– A bid is construed as a legal agreement to purchase the listed item(s) at the amount indicated.

– In order to protect the integrity of all bidders, please do not scratch out bids. Bids may only be voided by an auction volunteer or staff member due to valid bidding error. Please seek assistance if you find an invalid bid or make a mistake during bidding.

– The auction will close at 21:15, at which time the highest bid on each bid sheet will be declared the winner. If conflict arises over identifying the last valid bid for an item(s), auction staff have sole discretion to determine the winner or to impose an alternate method of closing the item for interested parties, including, but not limited to, a sealed final bid.

– A payment slip with invoice will be sent to the winning bidder the week following the event – please pay within 10 days of receipt.

SILENT AUCTION RESTRICTIONS AND OTHER DETAILS

– All known or apparent contents, restrictions, and details of items have been indicated on the bid sheets.

– Reservations for trips, stays in hotels, use of facilities, ticket redemption (or other applic-able items or actions) must be mutually arranged by the winning bidder and the donor unless otherwise specified. Blackout periods, expiration dates and restrictions may apply.

– Restrictions and expiration dates do apply on several auction items. Gift certificates should be thoroughly scrutinized. The utmost care has been taken to note restrictions as accurately as possible; however, ISZL is not responsible for any restrictions omitted or not otherwise indicated by the donor, or prizes not claimed within the scope of restrictions or expiration dates.

LIVE AUCTION RULES AND REGULATIONS

– The Live Auction begins at 21:30 and all items donated at the time of printing will be shown and described in this catalogue.

– The highest bidder acknowledged by the Auctioneer, shall be the buyer. The Auctioneer has the right to reject any bid and to advance the bidding at his absolute discretion. Should there be any dispute after the sale, the Auctioneer’s record of the final sale shall be conclusive.

– At the moment the Auctioneer declares it, title to the offered lot shall pass to the buyer, who shall assume full risk and responsibility for the lot and will be required to sign a confirmation of purchase and supply his / her name and address. If the buyer fails to comply with such requirements, the lot may, at the Auctioneer’s discretion, be put up and sold again.

– All sales are final, and all items are sold “as is,” unless otherwise specified.

– All auction items must be removed from the auction venue at the end of the evening, unless alternative arrangements are made.

– Values set forth on some items being auctioned are estimates only and are not warranted for tax purposes or for general value.

– The auction committee has attempted to catalogue and describe all items correctly based on information provided by the donors. No statement contained in this catalogue or made orally at the sale or elsewhere shall be deemed to be a warranty, representation or assumption of liability. The Auction Committee reserves the right to add any items we feel appropriate to the Live Auction after catalogue distribution.

– It is the responsibility of the winning bidder to schedule all trips, excursions and activ ities. All reservations for auction item activities must be mutually arranged between purchasers and donors. Purchasers are required to contact donors to schedule their events.

– ISZL reserves the right to withdraw or modify any item for sale prior to the call for bids.
