Analyze

The Analyze tab is where you go to view the statistics for your recorded matches. On theAnalyze screen, you will see a list of all your current teams. You can always experiment withthe “Sample Team”.

Navigation• Real-Time Analysis• Categories• Outputting Stats•

Navigation

A very powerful feature of iStatVball is the ability to “drill-down” on your statistics data. Forexample, you can see the All-Time hitting percentage for your team, or you can drill-downand see the hitting percentage for just one Season, or drill-down further and see a singleMatch, or drill-down even further and see an individual Set.

A drill-down path might look something like:All-Time - Season - Tournament - Match - Set

At any point along this path, you can either summarize the stats at that level, or continue todrill-down further.

Tap this button to summarize stats at the current level. Tapping at the teamlevel will show All-Time stats for the team.

Tap this button to drill-down to the next level in the hierarchy.

TIP: Tapping on a calculator button is much different than tapping on a drill-downarrow. The calculator summarizes stats while the arrow drills-down to the next level inthe stats hierarchy.

Other Criteria

There are additional analysis criteria available that are not directly part of the drill-downhierarchy. These include analyzing by:

1

Page 10: iStatVball 2 iPad Edition · PDF fileContents Recording Stats Substitutions Remaining.....35 Settings

Match (View by single or multiple matches)• Date (View by single day or a range of dates)• Opponent• Location• League• Home vs. Away• Statistician•

For each of these criteria, you can tap the table row to see the list of all matchescorresponding to the specified criteria. For each match, you can then use the normalsummarize and drill-down techniques.

Last Match

When drilling-down on a team, you will see a Last Match option, which is a convenient wayto quickly jump to the stats for the most recently completed match.

Current Match

If a team currently has a match in-progress, you will see a Current Match option, whichallows you to conveniently jump directly to that match. In-progress matches and sets will behighlighted within the navigation interface.

Real-Time Analysis

You can analyze stats in real-time at any point while recording a match. Simply pause yourrecording session then switch over to the Analyze tab. Use the Current Match option (seeCurrent Match) to jump directly to the match in-progress.

You can view stats calculated up to the moment for either the match as a whole or for justthe current set. All stat categories are available and can be customized under Settings (see Summary Reports). This is a powerful feature for analyzing stats during timeouts orin-between sets.

2

Page 11: iStatVball 2 iPad Edition · PDF fileContents Recording Stats Substitutions Remaining.....35 Settings

Categories

Once you have navigated to the desired level, you can choose from a variety of statisticscategories.

Custom Reports

Select the Custom Reports item to view a list of all the custom reports that you have created. From here, you can select a specific report to view. A custom report can include anycombination of stats categories and individual tables. You can create any number of customreports (Pro) (see Custom Reports).

All Categories

Select the All Categories item to view a compilation of all team stats categories at once.

TIP: The All Categories option is a great way to view all of your team stats at once, but generating the report can be slow on some devices.

Overall
