These reasons led to insurgency in Kashmir. Due to this insurgency in Kashmir valley central government gave powers to security forces which indirectly committed human rights violations. Indian security forces have been implicated in many reports for enforced disappearances of thousands of Kashmiris whereas the security forces deny having their information and/or custody.

The Pulwama suicide attack killing nearly 50 CRPF personal is the

deadliest ever attack on the state security forces in all these three decades of armed militancy .To a human heart, the loss of life, on either side, was always saddening. After all, in this violent conflict the stories of victimhood are not that simple, and flat. The Indo-Pak relations are getting worse with these attacks by militants armed and supported by Pakistani army. Let’s know the start of Kashmir conflict and it’s present internal problems When the British left India in 1947, British-controlled states, also called British India, were divided between India and Pakistan in a plebiscite along religious lines. Twelve million Hindus and Muslims fled from one area to another and half a million people lost their lives in the ensuing communal riots. During this period many princely states merged in either India or Pakistan. Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) was one of these princely states. Had it been part of British India, it would have gone to Pakistan, since Muslims constituted about 77 percent of the state’s population. After the lapse of the paramountcy in August 1947, the maharaja of J&K, Hari Singh, was uninterested in joining either country. Within a week of getting independence, Pakistan planned an operation, codenamed Gulmarg, to invade J&K. On October 22, 1947, about 5,000 tribesmen led by Pakistani Army regulars attacked the region and quickly captured large parts of it. Instead of exploiting their initial success, however, the tribesmen stopped to loot, rape women, kill the inhabitants, burn houses, and abduct young women to take back to Pakistan. India conducted a massive airlift of army personnel to Srinagar the next day and captured Baramulla and major parts of J&K within two weeks but not the complete territory. After this Kashmir is annexed to India. Out of the four wars fought between India and Pakistan, three are for Kashmir issue . India had it’s victory in these wars. Several agreements were made between governments of both countries for peace for reality nothing worked perfectly. Pakistan is sponsoring the militants in Kashmir. But why this issue still hot ? Is it only due to Pakistan ? why some Kashmiri’s are turning against it’s own country? Now lets have a view on fault of Indian government in resolving this issue. Rigging occurred in 1987 elections is the first reason for insurgency in Kashmir. Religious feelings are the next reason for this separatist movements. Jammu and Kashmir is the only Muslim majority state in Hindu-majority India. while India itself is a secular state, Muslims are politically, culturally and economically marginalised when compared to Hindus in India as a whole. The government's decision to transfer 99 acres of forest land in near Amaranth in the Kashmir valley to a Hindu organisation in late 1980’s solidified this feeling and led to one of the largest protest rallies in Jammu and Kashmir.

CONCEALED TRENCH REVALING SET BACKS OF INDIA TOWARDS KASHMIR

- Revanth

In recent years large numbers of youth are converting to militants due to high unemployment and low economic conditions in Kashmir valley. Until and unless this insurgency gets to end we mostly won’t see peace in Kashmir even India defeats Pakistan in fight and this conflict goes on.

This is often in association with torture or extrajudicial killing. Human right activists estimate the number of disappeared to be over eight thousand, last seen in government detention. This all created too much ill-view towards Indian government.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, third year students had an industrial visit on 22nd Feb,2019 to the great eminent and prestigious SDSC-SHAR (Sriharikota High Altitude Range). It had been really a great technical visit ever happened till date from ECE department. Satish Dhawan Space Centre is a rocket launch Centre operated by Indian Space Research Organization. It was renamed in 2002 after ISRO's former chairman Satish Dhawan. Broadly speaking students were indulged in some perspicuous places specifically First launch pad, Second launch pad, Mission Control Centre, Space Museum and alluring view of Bay of Bengal. First launch pad of ISRO is a rocket launch in Sriharikota. It is currently used to launch vehicles namely PSLV and GSLV.

For meeting the GSLV Mark III launch requirements and future missions of ISRO, a new Mission Control Centre has been realized at SDSC SHAR. It is situated 6 km away from the launch complex, monitors and conducts the launch operations during the pre-countdown and countdown phases until the satellite is injected into orbit.

Last but not the least, students had a clear view of space museum where their mobiles were allowed and had a great time with their friends having jocular selfies. This industrial visit not only ended up with technical stuff but also gave the students a

Dr. Puli Kishore, the HOD of ECE department, Dr. Chandu D S and Ms. Uma Sindhu, the ECE faculty are the pioneers for this industrial visit. Mother Theresa once said "Helping hands are better than praying lips." On taking this as inspiration, when students of 3rd year ECE went for industrial visit, included visiting orphanage in their schedule. The orphanage, ‘RISE A CHILD’ at Sullurpet, was initiated by an Electronics and Communication Engineer, who found that his purpose of life was to serve ill fated rather than technology. The founder turned his notion in life when he saw a stray child electrocuted by high voltage electricity lines at railway track while headway back home from work. From then he started gathering children, raising them with his own money . Later when the orphanage started staggering, he started taking help from donors and been supporting the foundation.

Students of NIT had reached the orphanage after they completed their visit at SHAR. Everyone at orphanage were awaiting the arrival of students with bold faces. Students voluntarily gathered some amount of money and bought gifts and books for inmates of orphanage and handed over them to patron. After spending some quality time with children, students left the place with whole hearted send off.

On 9th February 2019, a workshop was held concentrating on Second and First year ECE students, organised by the ECEA, introducing them to the world of digital electronics.

ECEA secretary, Muthyam Sravya (IV ECE), was praised by the faculties for organising the cadence workshop. The students carried laptops with pre-installed cadence software with them. Buses were provided from hostels to main campus.

The ECEA introduced MATLAB software to the second year ECE through a three hours workshop conducted on Saturday, 23rd February. The class was taught by Dr. Abhijit Bhattacharyya, NIT Andhra ECE adhoc faculty.

MATLAB excels at matrix manipulation. One can utilise the scopes of this software to create and test new image processing techniques. Image processing and signalling are quite significant for an electronic engineer, which adds up to the importance of MATLAB workshop. After Computer Networking and Cadence workshops, the MATLAB workshop grabbed a great attention among the second years.

THE AUCTION: This was happened on the first week of event. Six captains, three from boys and three from girls, were selected by the organisers to bid for the players they wanted in their team. So the captains were called on stage and the bidding was conducted. Both the captains and players were excited during bidding.

Juices were distributed to all team members by the organisers. All the students participated in the event thoroughly enjoyed throughout the event and drinks were distributed in the last by the organisers. Also the interaction between students was much more increased after the event.

This helped the students experiment more to gain deeper understanding of electronic circuits, which might prove difficult in course curriculum . Moreover this platform eliminates the physical errors created in laboratory and produces the best and clear output.

Event on cricket whose main motto was interaction among students was conducted on 8th February 2019 ,by Susheel and his team.

This event was conducted in parts of two out of which first one was auction and the second was cricket played between teams selected from auction.

BOX CRICKET: The very next week after bidding, cricket matches were conducted team wise by the organisers. All the matches played were knockout matches.

There were four teams, in which one team was of organisers, for semi-finals and the finals were played between two teams."GAME SWINGERS" was the team, under captaincy of Ankit Kumar, bagged the tournament final match.

Software was circulated among the students on the previous day.

Great efforts were taken from the part of second year association members in organising and arranging the workshop requirements. Laptops were brought by all the students and a documentation was presented over the projector screen to them explaining the functions and keywords in MATLAB programming.

Being one of the most important software in communication aspect, MATLAB has a wide varieties of applications. Many concepts of engineering strongly rely on mathematical concepts helping to explain most of the theories.

The workshop was organised as per the request of ECEA general secretary, Muthyam Sravya.

Basic operations on matrix were covered in the first lecture along with an introduction to two-dimensional signal plotting in MATLAB. The association is looking forward on conducting three more workshops on MATLAB, also covering the basics of Signals and Systems.

The class included various tools in designing an efficient circuit satisfying the requirements for various applications. In a total of two sessions of six hours class the association made this workshop a big success. Good reviews were received from the second and first years.

The workshop was conducted by Third year ECE students namely, Yeshwanth Balaji, Dhiraj, Charan, Josna, Avinash, Gopi Sri Harsha, Rishika, Sai Srividya and Manjunadh, each contributing an important role.

This was done with help of CADENCE software, it is a medium which helps to design and study electronic circuits.

WIRELESS POWER TRANSMISSION OF SOLAR ENERGY FROM SPACE

Solar energy from space is the next frontier of energy harvesting. There are two major methods of space to earth power transmission : 1. microwave 2.Lasers

o Microwave wireless power transmission A microwave power transmission system consists of source of RF energy, A transmitter, A transmission medium and A rectenna (rectifying antenna). The transmission process involves: 1. Conversion of DC power from solar cells to

microwave energy with the use of magnetron . 2. Then capturing microwave using rectenna. 3. And then microwave energy to DC (use of rectifier)

then DC to AC (use of inverter) electrical energy.

•Laser Beam Wireless Power Transmission In this technique, a concentrated beam of laser light sends to a receiver side (as photovoltaic cell ) through the vacuum of space and the atmos- phere. The receiver converts the energy back into electricity through these steps: 1.The DC power harvested in space is used to generate a single wavelength (monochromatic) light beam. 2.A set of optics shapes the laser light according to the required beam size. 3.A control system ensures that the laser is pointed at the intended receiver site on Earth.

•Laser–Microwave Hybrid Wireless Power Transmission System Each of the two wireless power transmission methods, microwave and laser-based, has advantages and disadvantages. In an effort to devise an optimal system, we have considered a hybrid approach. In such a system, a laser would transmit power from a solar array to an in-orbit base station (a photovoltaic array platform). The base station would convert energy from the laser into electricity and then into microwave radiation, which is transmitted to the receiver station on Earth. Thus, the laser beam is used where it does not experience significant attenuation from the atmosphere Then transmission changes to microwave radiation, which is much less subject to atmospheric attenuation. CONCLUSION •Transmission without wire - a reality •Efficient and low loss •Low maintenance cost, but high initial cost. •Better than conventional wired transfer •Energy crisis can be reduced •In near future, world will be completely wireless

Only time will tell if this is an achievable goal. The technological and economic challenges facing space solar power are far from trivial, and all three proposed methods will require much research and testing before they become feasible solutions for large-scale power generation.

LIFE IS A CRICKET MATCH. I am a big fan of Cricket.Arent you? Most of us watch, play, love cricket. I often wondered if life can be compared to the GAME OF CRICKET? Yes! Of course. Just imagine cricket match is going on and YOU are playing...YOU are batting now, but the rules here are different. There is no wicket and wicketkeeper and life is in front of you throwing balls .There is no second player to catch your ball. First ball comes, you tried to hit but missed. What will you do now? Wait for second Second ball comes you tried to hit but missed. Again, wait for third ball Here comes third you tried and missed again. Fourth ball comes this time you tried diligently. OOPS! You missed again. Fifth ball comes This time you tried much more harder than before with intense dedication and determination . You missed again . It's awful!!!!Come on now ,Sixth ball comes and no second thought ,Step forward and hit a huge Six. Fabulous!!! It's six. One ball has full filled the requirement of last five balls .This is the turning point of game ,same happens with life. As I said there is no wicket or wicket keeper. It means you will never loose until you leave the ground and give up. No power in the world can defeat you till you stay on pitch. Life has only one work to throw balls one by one, these balls are opportunities. Some opportunities are big some are small, the only thing you have to do is stay on pitch focus on life and on coming opportunities. If we have failed in one event, it doesn't mean that we had failed in life. The end of one event is not end of life. Life is a collection of myriad of such events. Its a joy to be a part of it just like the wonderful game cricket. For cricket lovers " A gun is no more dangerous than a cricket bat in the hands of a madman"
