APRIL HOLIDAY PROGRAM The April holiday program can be viewed here. Enrolments will open via the SmartCentral Portal on Monday. We have excursions planned to Village cinemas to see Sherlock Gnomes in the first week and were off to UpUnlimited in Moorabbin in the second week for some climbing and caving action. These excursions are limited to 50 students and will fill quickly, so be sure to get your application in early. A deposit of $5/child per day is required, along with the costs of any additional activities in order to confirm any applications. Enrolments will close Friday, March 23. PREPS Our preps have settled well into the OSHC routine and are half way through their first term already! We will continue to walk them to and from class each day for the remainder of the term. Our prep train which is 27 students long on some days is pictured leſt. Next week will be the final prep rest day for the term and the final day for Prep care. We have loved having the preppies with us each week and hope they are enjoying their time at OSHC. A reminder that if you have a permanent booking for care on a Wednesday but no longer require this session, please inform a staff member. FEES & INVOICES Invoices for care in week ending 18/2/18 were emailed out this week with payment due Friday, March 2. If you have not yet received an invoice for care in term one, please see Britt or Di to confirm your stored email address is correct. If you have any queries, please contact Britt at the school office or email [email protected] with any queries. FITNESS CLUB - TUESDAYS @ 8AM Fitness Club was very popular again this week, with a number of OSHC students joining in the session with Mr Wilkinson and Mr Burns. A reminder that all OSHC students are permitted to join in these sessions, under the supervision of an OSHC carer. Pictured leſt are some fitness club enthusiasts. BEEP-TEST FITNESS Starting next week, Mr Wilkinson and Mr Burns will be providing an opportunity for Prep-6 students to improve their fitness with beep-test practice. These will start at 3.20pm and be held on Tuesday and Thursday aſternoons on the oval. OSHC students who would like to participate must first sign in to OSHC. Students will then be escorted to the oval and back to OSHC by a carer. QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PLAN (QIP) REVIEW This week, the OSHC team will commence the review of our QIP. This process will enable us as a team to self-assess our performance in delivering quality education and care, and to plan future improvements. The QIP also helps regulatory authorities with assessing the quality of the service. As part of this process, we will be surveying parents to obtain feedback around the seven Quality Areas. STAFF PROFILE - KATHRYN COXON My name is Kathryn and I am in my third year at Monash studying a Bachelor of Primary and Secondary education with a major in psychology. I love basketball and am a member of the Berwick Basketball Club. I am a keen reader and obsessed with learning about space.     Friday April 6 - Techie Day & Talent Show

    Do you have a special talent? Can you sing, dance, juggle, play an instrument or tell a good joke? Join our talent

    show at OSHC today to win some great prizes.

    Don’t forget to bring an electronic game (iPod, iPad/tablet, DS to be used for two x 1-hour sessions). Devices must

    be kept in the office when not in use and will be confiscated if used inappropriately.

    Week 2 Monday April 9 - Prehistoric Day Hope you can STOMP by at OSHC today, you’ll have a DINO-RIFIC time.

    Tuesday April 10 - Wacky Games Day (& Wheels Day) OPTIONAL SUBWAY LUNCH $6.50

    Wacky games & wheels day combined! Bring a scooter or bike for a fun day on wheels. DON’T FORGET A HELMET.

    Wednesday April 11 - UPUnlimited Indoor Climbing & Caving EXCURSION $30Its off to Moorabbin today to experience the fun of Clip ’n Climb and their new addition,

    indoor caving. Depart: 8.45am Return: by 1pm

    Today will be all about outer space, make believe and futuristic fairytales. It will be out-of-this world!

    painting, ice cream sundaes and fish and chips for lunch.
