Imported HRC Market in Vietnam Observes Limited TradesMar 16, 2020 00:00
Imported HRC offers from China have moved down this week by USD
10, however offers from India, Japan have remained stable against
last week. SteelMint learned from its close sources that Indian mill
booked 20,000 MT HRC for exports at USD 465/MT CFR Vietnam last
week. Few sources claimed that another deal from India for
similar quantity was concluded at USD 460/MT CFR basis for April
delivery, however it could not be confirmed. Thus, bearish sentiments
in domestic market shifted focus of Indian steel mills to export HRC to
overseas markets. Meanwhile Chinese steel mills further pulled down
HRC export offers to Vietnam market on higher

India: SAIL BSP Pig Iron Bookings Improve at Reduced OffersMar 16, 2020 00:00
Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) had floated offers of basic grade pig
iron from its central India based Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) in the
beginning of Mar'20. As per report of our credible sources, the
company managed to get bookings of around 12,000-14,000 MT pig
iron, which is nearly 60-70% of BSP's offered
quantity. -- The average deal price for the material was reported at
INR 27,000-27,200/MT EXW-Bhilai and the orders have been largely
placed by traders based in Raipur & Bhilai. -- The current offers in
central India through the traders are hovering at INR 27,200-
27,300/MT FoR Raipur & INR 26,500-26,700/MT FoR
