Lots of fun, with more to come. There is no excuse to be bored at Islington Public School. Thank you to our teachers who give up their time to provide our students with these opportunities. Kids, come along and join in. Anaphylaxis warningto the event. We are requesting that parents/carers please refrain from packing peanuts or peanut products in the children’s lunch boxes at school. We have a number of new and returning students with serious allergies to these products. Thank you for helping us minimise the risk of an anaphylactic reaction and protect our students’ health. Attendance We are having a close look at our attendance figures and they are looking pretty good. The Education Act requires students to be in school every day and Islington kids don’t like to miss a day. We are very lucky in this, however, if any of your children are sick please keep them at home to regain their health and avoid spreading illnesses to other children. Thank you.

Parking Islington’s streets, surrounded by industry, heavy rail, schools, residences, waterways, TAFE and main roads and therefore always hectic, are particularly busy at school pick-up time. We ask that if you are driving to pick up children you keep an eye on the timed parking areas and vacate them for other parents promptly. Lately, the council parking inspectors have been in the area too, so be careful to avoid a ticket. Other tips include arriving early and waiting in the school grounds (you’re welcome), car pooling with a friend, walking from local addresses (naturally). The school has no control over the public streets, however, we can all work together to support our busy inner-city community running smoothly. Thank you for your cooperation.
