On the occasion of the celebraon of the European Cooperaon Day 2017, the IPA cross-border Cooperaon Programme Interreg “Greece – The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia” and the transnaonal Cooperaon Programme Interreg V-B “Balkan – Mediterranean” are co-organizing a film show and discussion on migraon. The movie “Amerika Square” will be screened (with English subtles). The director Yannis Sakaridis will grace the occasion with his presence. The film has already garnered several awards in worldwide fesvals. It will be represenng Greece in the 90th Academy Awards (Oscars) Ceremony as it has been put forward for consideraon in the category of “Best Foreign Language Film”.
