Service interworking allows Sprint customers with frame relay and ATM networks to extend their reach usingCPE-based or network-based IP VPNs for certain locations.

Network-based IP VPN

In the network-based alternative, Sprint utilizes IP

services switches at network access points to

encrypt data as it traverses the network. Sprint takes

full responsibility for management and maintenance.

Since the IP VPN functionality resides in the Sprint

network, provisioning times can be shorter.

In addition to dedicated, dial and DSL access, you can

also use frame relay or ATM access.

IP Intelligent Frame Relay

Yet another alternative is IP Intelligent Frame Relay,

which marries the inherent security and quality of

service of a non-public network infrastructure with

the any-to-any connectivity of IP. It’s a fully managed

solution that preserves your existing investment in

networking equipment.

Thanks to the implementation of innovative “virtual
