April is National Child Abuse
Prevention Month
The month of April is a month dedicated to raising awareness about child abuse and
neglect and to encourage individuals and communities to positively support children and families. The goal of this month is to promote
children and strengthening families.
It is our hope that you will be able to join us on April 2, 2014, at Avalon Manor in Merrillville, Indiana, for the Geminus
Community Partners Annual Conference, BEHIND CLOSED DOORS
The Impact of Domestic Violence on Children.
We hope this conference helps you to glean further understanding into the world of
domestic violence, how the lives of children are impacted by it, and what we can do to help the
children and families that have experienced or witnessed domestic violence,
neglect or abuse.
Thank you for all you do for families, not just in April, but all year long. Let’s continue to let our
light shine brightly for keeping children safe from abuse and neglect.
