Treating the fuel before it enters the combustion chamber is preferable to dealing with the problem after the fuel has expanded many thousands of times in the form of exhaust gases. A proven method of cleaning up combustion on the inlet side of the engine, boiler, etc. is the use of water in oil emulsified fuels, now an accepted means of emissions reduction.

This simple, no moving parts device operates at relatively low pressure and provides even, precise particle size reduction and dispersions previously unattainable with existing technologies.

BENEFITS• Reduces fuel consumption, emissions, soot on boiler tubes and cleaner engines, less maintenance.• Emulsion is made on demand. No chemical additives or storage is needed or separation concerns of shipment

and storage.• Installed on existing fuel train and can be easily reverted back to fuel only.• #2, 4, 5 and 6 fuels can be used. • No emulsion is returned to fuel storage tanks and return fuel is re-emulsified.

DRAMATICALLY REDUCING EMISSIONS AND INCREASING FUEL EFFICIENCY

Nonox Fuel Emulsion Systems have been installed on:

• boilers in high-rise office buildings, • trucks hauling goods and services up and

down the east coast of the US.• Sailed the seas on vessel engines around

the world

Applications Include Land and Marine

NoNox Emulsion-Combustion Systems can be applied to oil fired boilers, burners, kilns, all types of diesel engines, and generators.

Features:• Emulsified Fuel is never returned to original fuel supply. The fuel delivered to the Emulsion Control Unit (ECU) is

isolated in its own fuel circuit. • No emulsified fuel is ever left to separate in fuel train, pumps, etc. On shutdown or even if the power is shut off to

the unit, the ECU switches back to the regular fuel quickly flushing the fuel train with pure fuel. • The more even combustion temperature reduces thermal stress and the more complete combustion greatly

reduces carbon buildup, thus reducing maintenance and extending service life, as well as improving efficiency.• Uses fuel from your existing fuel supply/tank.• The ECU requires no special training to operate• All components, pumps, valves are similar to those already found in engine/boiler rooms. • Installation is simple and swift.

A distributed water production system that sets up quickly, is completely grid independent & produces water at low cost.

Initial Focus: potable water markets where Wave2OTM can provide immediate relief to over 80 million people living in coastal areas.

Over 1 billion people suffer from the effects of water scarcity with the vast majority being poor residents of developing countries.

THE WORLD’S FIRST WAVE-POWERED DESALINATION SYSTEM (WAVE2OTM)

THAT REQUIRES NO ELECTRICITY TO OPERATE

Desalting seawater is an excellent potential solution but reverse osmosis (R/O) desalination systems require a connection to an electrical grid to drive the process. Prods report: wave energy and reverse osmosis are the best combination of renewable energy and desalination technologies

Jellyfish inspired robot colony is proposed as a viable solution to ocean exploration and monitoring. The design simplicity enables low-cost manufacturing and easy deployment of millions of ROBOJELLIES to monitor and explore the ocean.

The ROBOJELLIES:• Use hydrogen and oxygen to power artificial muscles made of smart materials (multiwall carbon nanotubes, nickel-

titanium shape memory alloy and platinum nanoparticles). • Chemical reaction activates articulation of jellyfish bell for mobility• Byproduct is water vapor which doesn’t adversely affect the ocean (zero emission). • Design is sustainable due to the possibility of scavenging hydrogen from ocean ( indefinite life ).

BRIDGING DEVELOPMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY

Coastal development and urbanized seascapes are inevitable given 2/3 of the human population reside in coastal zones. Marine infrastructures such as ports, piers and shipping channels are mainly composed of modular concrete units forming breakwaters, sea walls and pillars.

Concrete is a poor substrate for biological recruitment, and one of the reasons why coastal development is considered the prime cause for habitat loss, reduced biodiversity, and damaged ecosystems. ECOncreteTM is an innovative yet simple solution to the conflict between societal and environmental needs in coastal zones.By manipulating concrete structures in three levels; concrete composition, surface texture and macro-design, EconcreteTM elevates marine and coastal infrastructure’s ability to provide valuable ecosystem services and improved environmental parameters associated with filter feeding communities.

Ecological designs (USPTO app 61/764800) increase the operational life span and stability of marine infrastructures by encouraging biogenic buildup that protects them from damages associated with aggressive salt-water environments.

Use coastal infrastructure for environmental goals such as enhancing species with conservation value or creating nursing grounds and shelter for different marine organisms.

Matrices withstand compressive strength of 30-80MPa with different flexural and tensile strengths, complying with the formal requirements for marine construction.

Units are designed to support biogenic buildup which is a calcium carbonate deposition by marine organisms. These include oysters, mussels, barnacles and corals which cover the substrate, add volume, weight and contribute to its stability.

ECOncreteTM was developed at SeArc - Ecological Marine Consultingby marine biologists specializing in habitat restoration.
