• “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:18-20  (NKJV)  

How Many Are Needed?

• “According to Sir William Ramsay, when a group of Roman citizens as small as two or three gathered anywhere in the world, it constituted the conventus as a local expression of Rome. Even though geography separated them from the capital of the empire and the emperor, there coming together as fellow citizens automatically brought the power and presence of Rome into their midst.”

• Acts 2:42-47  (NKJV) And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church Ekklesia daily those who were being saved.

• The Ekklesia is first and foremost a community of contending prayer.

• We are the Ruling Council of the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.

• The agreement of 2 or 3 (Matt. 18:19) to legislate the Kingdom.

• Binding (forbid) & Loosing (allow) • “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven”

• Your community, your state, your nation –> heaven on earth.

The Authority of Christ in Communities of Contending Prayer

“Ekklesia is the only hope America has.”
