your local area (district, region) in the late fall.

• If you do well at the local competition, you can move on to the state/provincial competition, usually after the turn of the calendar year.

• Those who place highest then move on to the International Career Develop-ment Conference in Anaheim, Calif.; Orlando, Fla.; or another major city in late April.
