Interview Style and Body Language Interview style:- The way you answer the question, been

asked by the interviewer in a professional way that matches it with the post /job you are applying.

Body language:- The conscious and unconscious movements and postures by which attitudes and feelings are communicated.

BEFORE INTERVIEW Find out info concerning the company. E.g. history

about the organization, what they are into and their competitor.

Study all the current issues about the company or the post/job you are applying for, find out who was there before the vacancy came out.

The more you learn about your callback company, the better you're going to feel walking in that door. Knowledge is power. Knowledge will make you more confident in your attitude and your answers. You know this stuff. You've studied it! Knowledge about the company products, services, protocols and procedures shows the interviewer that you're proactive, with an eye for detail and an appreciation for the power of preparation. In other words, you'll make a positive impression.

BEFORE INTERVIEW Practice good hygiene, comb or brush your hair and trim your

nails

Neatly arrange and carry your papers work e.g. CV(Resume), Job experience letters and work samples in a nice briefcase or portfolio. This make you look organized and professional.

Dress appropriately and avoid bright and dark colors. For men wear a business suit or business casual pant and polished shoes to match.

Your dressing should match the kind of job, you are been interview for.

Get a professional haircut or trim it to look neat. Use underarm deodorant to avoid body odor when dressing, to

prevent unpleasant smell. Don’t use strong perfume or deodorant as your interviewer

might not like your choice and gets irritate by strong smell. Turn off your cell phones, pager and other devices that might

interrupt the interview.

BEFORE INTERVIEW If you're a female, wear a business suit/

formal shirt pant, Business causal, with polished, low to medium heel dress shoes or sandal and minimum jewelry.

Style your hair properly, make it look neat and presentable.

Avoid wearing fancy jewelry, dark colored lipstick and over make-up as they are corporate environments.

Arrive about ten minutes early for the interview. This shows that you are very eager and punctual, and you will also become a potential candidate for the job

Don’t bring uninvited guests, family, friends significant others.

DURING INTERVIEW

• Smile gently a bit as it shows that you are happy and interested for the interview and the post you are applying for, and it also show you are very positive person.

• Wish the interviewer Good morning/After/Evening as per the time of the interview, and your hand shake must be firm and cool. you must not sit until you are told to, then say thank you.

• During the handshake say words like "I'm please to meet you or I'm happy to be here today“.

• Sit up straight, and lean slightly forward in your chair as this shows you are well manner and a professional who knows what he/she his doing.

DURING INTERVIEW• Sit with good posture with your hands folded on your

lap as this indicates good manners, avoid crossing your arms over your chest, as it demonstrates a closed mind.

• Maintain eye contact with the interviewer, whenever you answer a question, and don't stare too much, because you might make the interviewer uncomfortable.

• Maintaining a low Level of eye contact shows you are lying or not confidence in yourself which is not good for you either.

• Speak normally but with a bit higher energy to show your communication skills, speak with confidence and don't lie because must interviewer are trained to find out if you are.

• When you're been asked a question, don't rush to answer it give it a second or two before you start and don't take too much time on a question and make it brief.

• Immediately say thank you to the interviewer and offer a handshake, and say thanks for taking the time to interview me or thanks for spearing your precious time with me today.

• You can send formal and professional THANK YOU LETTER to your interviewer. sending thank you letter is courteous and will help you stand out from the crowd. you can still add one or two things you didn't say during the interview and tell them things you could do when you start working together as a team.

• Be prepared to attendant two or three interview with the company. if you are called back for another interview it means that they're interested in you, so keep up with the good work.

• If you don't hear back from your interviewer in about 24 hours/week or so, after they said you'd hear from them, its okay to call or send a letter of inquiry asking about your candidate status or just to know how far they have gone concerning the interview.

• If you still don't hear back from them then you need to concentrate on the next job interview. BUT DONT LOOSE HOPE.
