Building Regulations
Building regulations exist to ensure the safety and comfort of buildings. Approved documents demonstrate the usual way of meeting requirements and in many cases give specific guidance on acoustic containment, accessibility, and fire and smoke containment.
In the UK, all fire doors should be tested to BS 476 -22:1987 or the European equivalent BS EN 1634 -1:2014

Third Party Accreditation
The majority of countries have a building code that mandates specific types of testing for product performance.
It is increasingly recognised that third party certification makes the process of validating product testing more robust.
Below are the main differences between third party certification and reliance on one off tests.

Assesment / One Off Test

Resistance To Fire
With the backing of a UKAS accredited, industry leading third party certification scheme, Morland doors can be specified for resistance to fire with total confidence.
Morland fire doors are marked on the hinge edge of the door using anti-tamper labels. All labels are uniquely numbered under the Certifire certification scheme. When alterations such as adding glass vision panels are made, further numbered labels are applied to maintain certification.
All door leaves and doorsets are uniquely numbered, so full traceability of doors is available for the lifetime of the door.
To discuss details, please contact our technical team. For certificates please see www.morlanduk.com/downloads
