MasterLink to control yourdevices in the link room.

This for example allows you to getthe B&O players sound back to your

TV and to control your non-B&Odevices in the linkroom.

This solution will allow you tosend LIGHT commands

onto the Masterlink.

Important commentsto the Digital Output 2

Setting digital Output to:5 = BEOSYSTEMwill copy ALL pulses from the BEOremote to the MasterLink allowingyou to send for example LIGHTcommands onto the MasterLink.

However, if this is what you want youmust use an external B&O IRreceiver, as the receiver delivers link-timing signals which the remotecontrol does not.

LinTronic recommend:Setting digital Output to:1 = STANDARDand let the configuration in theTT455-RT-238's Memory Map specifywhich commands you send onto thelink.This will reduce the data-traffic on thelink.

The MasterLink is not our systm, soLinTronic cannot ensure againstunwanted results if commands fromdifferent places in the house collideon the link.

When your B&O products are connected by the Masterlink, you can control them all.

If the TV's scart connector is assigned to DVD or VMEM/VTAPE, then these commands arecopied to the scart connector.

If you connect a TT455-RT-238 to the scart connector, this will allow you to control non-B&Oproducts from all over your house: Computer, light systems, projector, sat receiver, curtains,relays, etc. etc.

In this example, the installer got hold of a scart connector with soldering connections.

The existing pin 8 wire going from the DVD/VIDEO to the TV, instructing whether the device is onor off, was disconnected, so it does not interfere with the outcoming data from the TV to the -238.

Pin 21 was made by taking a free pin and inserting the pin behind the shield top make the groundconnection. Not easy to see on this picture.

B&O MasterLinkHej Michael,

the -238 box can be controlled from all linkrooms via masterlink. IR command is sent by BEO4 tomasterlink to BV7-40 in the livingroom. The non B&O device is connected to AV1-socket (SCART)of BV7-40 assigned as V.MEM. All commands in V.MEM-mode will reach your -238 box andcontrol the non B&O device from all linkrooms. Hope this helps. If any further questions feel free toask. I will do another drawing concerning Master control link and Link-Light commands.

B&O MasterLinkHej Michael,

in this Configuration the Relay 108 is controled by LINK-LIGHT commands sent onto the master-control-link. We can control the LC2s directly by BEO4 with LIGHT commands in every room.Whole house lighting is done by LINK-LIGHT 1 (2 -3 -4.....GO - STOP), this can also be timer-controled by the BS 7000. The whole stuff has 2 way communication, so it can receive AND sendcommands. Curtains (Relay 108) will be controlled by LINK LIGHT Green (long). Red(long).....from every (MCL) room.
